We have been to Lexus of Jacksonville on three occasions, two of them were less than satisfactory. Both of these visits could have been more positive if the service department took the time to review in adv two of them were less than satisfactory. Both of these visits could have been more positive if the service department took the time to review in advance why the customer was bringing the car in for service and realized that the customer needed a part that was not present. We clearly stated we needed service that required a specific part. The first event was made satisfactory by the service manager appropriating a part that was destined for another customer and the second event resulted in our turning around and driving the 73 miles to home because the part had been given to another customer. We did have a satisfactory experience with the 20K service – all went well. However the impact of a return trip to the service dealer is more painful because there the closest service facility is 73 miles from us (Ormond Beach FL). More
