I bought a certified pre-owned 2018 GX460 with 24K on the odometer in January of 2020. In August I was traveling on I-65 and the plastic trim piece along the passenger side of the windshield blew off at 75m odometer in January of 2020. In August I was traveling on I-65 and the plastic trim piece along the passenger side of the windshield blew off at 75mph. It was a windy day, but still totally unexpected. I called Lexus of Louisville and Service Advisor: Bridget Steinke said "bring it in - being a certified pre-owned, they will take care of it". I took it in the next week and she said that particular piece is not covered under warranty. She said their estimate to fix it would be $530 some dollars. I could clearly see the estimate laying on her desk and it stated $350 some dollars. I asked her why the difference in price and she stated "Oh I do that all the time - transpose numbers" LOL..... Ok, well I find it hard to believe that this 20" long piece of black plastic is worth that much. So, I declined and ordered it myself on Lexusparts.com for $37, still a lot for a piece of skinny plastic but not $350 ! I put it on myself in about 3 minutes. Thanks Lexus ! Then today I took the GX in for one of its four complimentary service visits. After the service, Service Advisor: Bridget Steinke comes to let me know I can follow her to pick up my vehicle. We walk out to it and she tells me my keys are back on her desk. While she is going back to the building to get my keys, I am walking around the vehicle just giving it the once over. Bridget comes out and says - "Yeah, we didn't wash it, the carwash is up and down". Ok, not sure what that means. She said maybe I could run it by some other day. Well I live out in the boonies so that probably isn't going to happen. All in all, I am not feeling the "Lexus Love". More
