New car, bad tire - ‘Not our Problem’ I purchased a new ES350 from Lexus of Maplewood a few months ago. I was out one day and came back to a flat tire. Presuming it was a nail/screw I took I purchased a new ES350 from Lexus of Maplewood a few months ago. I was out one day and came back to a flat tire. Presuming it was a nail/screw I took it in to this dealer to get it fixed. Upon inspection, the issue was a bulge on the wall of the tire, clearly a manufacturer defect. I assumed Lexus would take care of it as it was a new car that I purchased from them just a few months previously. When they called they said that the tire manufacturer would pick up half the cost of the replacement, the rest was on me. When I complained they ‘offered’ to get the tire manufacturer on the phone for me. Last time I checked, I bought the car from Lexus of Maplewood, not Michelin Tire, why should I talk to them. So if anything else on the car goes will Lexus simply pawn me off on the manufacturer of that part? Make you own decision but I would avoid this dealer. Sadly, there are other similar stories I could share. More

Great Service experience always! I can always count on this Lexus services department to take care of me and my vehicle. Misleading service invoice I was presented with an invoice for tire repair & also for new tires. My car has under 25000 miles.
