Service & sales experience I have been nothing but a Lexus owner since 2005 and have dealt ONLY with Smithtown Lexus not only for my purchases, but for my services as well…….I h I have been nothing but a Lexus owner since 2005 and have dealt ONLY with Smithtown Lexus not only for my purchases, but for my services as well…….I have family that is in the car business(service,tires,parts etc) and find myself returning to give Lexus of Smithtown my business due to their high quality of professionalism and courtesy while doing so. Dan Munsinger, parts dept manager, has never let me down and if the wait was too long due to high volume of services or understaffed on any given day, I was warded a loaner until said car was complete…….I have treated my 2005 GX 470 and my 2010 IS350 c like my children, and in return they have given me nothing but smooth sailing since. I attribute that to the professionalism and accuracy as well as attention to detail that is provided by this staff. I would HIGHLY recommend using this service dept for any and all needs as they are respectful, prompt and priced right!!!!!! More

Buying Experience I have rated the Lexus of Smithtown dealership highly for a number of reasons. This is my third ES 350 from this dealership and the second one from the salesman, Walter Maron. Walter was very low key during the negotiation process and offered many choices for my wife and I to consider. We both test drove the vehicle, went to the back lot to choose our vehicle and was never pressured at all. Walter actually explained the intricate workings of the vehicle, as well as the differences between buying vs. leasing. After we made our decision, we then met with Denise Plourde, the financial services manager. She too was very helpful explaining all of our finance options and actually saved us a lot of money. Buying a car can be a very stressful process and both Walter and Denise made the experience a fairly easy one. More

Jerry professionally and courteously introduced himself and the dealership and shortly thereafter signed us up for the purchase of an RX350 SUV--which we preferred as a first impression from seeing it in the showroom. Jerry, from beginning to pick-up, attentively and with great knowledge and enthusiasm made us comfortable with the purchase. He spent considerable time on the day of pick-up teaching us the many facets of operating the vehicle and introduced us to the "tech" who invited a visit by us to help with any subsequent difficulties we may encounter. WATCH OUT FOR THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I've had my Lexus IS250 serviced at this dealership for quite sometime now. Me always being a fan of dealership service has learned a valuable lesson I've had my Lexus IS250 serviced at this dealership for quite sometime now. Me always being a fan of dealership service has learned a valuable lesson from Lexus of Smithtown - their Service Advisors work on commission and will fail inspections trying to force you to THOUSANDS in UNNECESSARY repairs. Be extra careful if you are a woman or not mechanically inclined - they WILL take advantage of you. The resolution process with this dealership has been non-existent, their customer service is combative and most importantly not entirely truthful. I have filed VS35 fraud form with the state and complained to Lexus Corporate in hopes they will do business more honestly in the future. That said, the day after they failed my inspection - I went to another registered repair shop, showed them Lexus' paperwork on why it failed as required by NYS law - and they were quite shocked on how a dealership could blatantly tell you need something that you don't, but wasn't the first time they heard of it. They conducted a full and thorough inspection, found nothing wrong and passed it without requiring the repairs Lexus had said the car NEEDED. One word, BEWARE. More

Thanks Jerry!!! What a positive experience!!! This is my first Lexus after owning three Cadillacs previously. After purchasing the SRX four years ago, I could not t What a positive experience!!! This is my first Lexus after owning three Cadillacs previously. After purchasing the SRX four years ago, I could not take my eyes off the Lexus RX 350. So in I walked. Ashley gave me a test ride while I waited for Jerry. Jerry sat with me for hours answering more questions than you can imagine. He explained EVERYTHING. He walked me to the car lot (it was so cold), but he took his time to show me every car that fit what I wanted, the interiors as well. Jerry itemized everything for me, ran off all the available packages and the prices, the trade-in value for my car, etc. The price was right. Two hours later I returned with my husband to purchase the car. Again Jerry spent a lot of time with both of us. Late Friday afternoon we picked up my new Lexus. Again Jerry met with us and explained as well as helped us with entering our phones in Bluetooth, setting numerous radio stations, setting destinations in our GPS as well as how we can do everything three different ways. What is a miracle is that so far (one week later) I have no questions. I was extremely pleased with the whole purchase experience as well as thrilled with my new Lexus. Thanks!!!! More
