I tried to buy a car in June of 2025 and was told my car would have to be ordered due to the color combination I chose. I was told I would be contacted and told if the order was approved. After not hearing anything back for a few days, I emailed the salesperson. No response. After a few days, I then called and was told the order was approved and the car would be ready in August. I was told I would be contacted in July when the car was to be delivered to the dealership, so I could apply for a loan through my bank. The salesperson said to bring a letter of approval from my bank and the finance department would give me a better rate. Mid-July - no word from the salesperson. I sent another email and left a voicemail. No response. After a few days, I contacted the sales manager whose voice mail was full. The salesperson eventually called me back and said the car now would not be shipped until August and delivered to the dealership in September. I was now told I would be called in August with an update. I called back late August after not hearing anything further and left a voicemail. After no response to the voicemail, I called the sales manager a few days later to discuss the situation. He said he would leave a message for my salesperson. Eventually, I received a text message from the salesperson requesting I come to the dealership to discuss my car. When I arrived at the dealership, I was told they still did not have my car and I could not get the car I ordered (after I was told in June it was approved). I then purchased a car off the showroom floor. When I went to finance the car, the fiance person gave me a list of options and asked me to choose one for the loan. I let him know my bank would give me a better rate and the fiance person told me to deal with my bank then. The finance department did not offer me a better rate than my bank, as I was originally told. It seems like some unnecessary false promises were made to me during the course of this transaction. Furthermore, it's not my job to chase down the dealership to find out the status of my order. The communication during this process was rather poor. More
