The one star is for service after purchasing a vehicle and within 30 day warranty. The actual sales person Matthew was great and the manager at first was accommodating in order to help with the sales pro and within 30 day warranty. The actual sales person Matthew was great and the manager at first was accommodating in order to help with the sales process. We even purchased a 4 year warranty on the vehicle for peace of mind. However we had issues within first week with the car almost stalling and vibrations being felt on highway at higher speed and with the brakes. My husband is familiar with cars and we have family who repair cars and had them take a look at the car before deciding to go back to dealer. We ended up replacing spark plugs as they were completely burnt out and the cause for the stalling then decided that the brake issue was a safety concern and we should address it with the dealer’s repair shop as it was still under warranty. After some back and forth the manager agreed to do the rotors and brake pads and within about a week and a half we were experiencing worse then before the new rotors and pads we did not feel safe at all with these “new brakes”. Needless to say we had no faith in the service done and by this time we were nearing the end of the 30 day dealer warranty and we believe they did that purposefully, putting in the cheapest brakes on the market just to get them thru the warranty period, it didn’t and we no longer wanted them to touch the brake system. My husband went out and bought the correct Rotors and pads specifically for our Acura and now it feels safe and we have no issues. Regardless of mileage on a pre-owned car safety systems like the brake system should be dealt with seriously by any dealer when selling or replacing, there should be no short cuts or excuses like “well it would pass state inspection” short term fixes are not the way to retain customers who will need to purchase vehicles again in the future. The thinking should be is it safe, peace of mind that a family will be safe on the road because safety is your priority. More
