Disenchanted On the morning of Jul 17, 2017, I called Lexus of Orlando to inquire about a 2014 GS 350 F-Sport. I was told (Drew Hill) there are no photos availabl On the morning of Jul 17, 2017, I called Lexus of Orlando to inquire about a 2014 GS 350 F-Sport. I was told (Drew Hill) there are no photos available yet as the vehicle was currently undergoing a safety/certification inspection. I inquired about possibly putting some money down as a Good Faith Deposit, and was assured that was possible. I was then contacted by David Land who explained to me that the vehicle was available but it was still in the process of becoming L Certified. I asked David about putting money down to hold the car but instead was asked to fill out a credit application. David informed me that the car would be ready on July 19th. I did not fill out the credit application as Drew Hill advised me that if the GS 350 did not pass the L Certification process it would automatically go to auction. I spoke to David on the evening of July 18th to confirm with him that my wife and I would be coming into the dealership the next morning, he then told me to call him at 10:30am the morning of. Instead of a phone call the next morning, I received a text from David stating that the car sold the night before...how is it possible to sell a car that has not been released from the certification process? Amazing...after adjusting our work schedules to be there that morning I was extremely disappointed to say the least. David explained to me that someone who was turning in a lease saw this vehicle and it was sold to him, he also stated that he has "never seen anything like this before" I feel as if my wife and I were deceived by the sales staff at Lexus of Orlando, I'm under the assumption that any Lexus, regardless of how far into the Certification Process a vehicle is, can and will be sold. The entire Lexus experience left me feeling somewhat disenchanted, not by the vehicle itself, but by the sales staff. More
