I would say the experience has always been above average, timely, and pleasant. I've had no horror stories to tell either, which can be few and far between for an auto-servicing shop. I normally never write reviews, but I thought it was worthwhile to commend great service when I experience it. More

Excellent, excellent, excellent My 2007 Hyundai Sonata's engine would start only occasionally yesterday, and when it did start, it stopped within minutes. I called AAA, they came a My 2007 Hyundai Sonata's engine would start only occasionally yesterday, and when it did start, it stopped within minutes. I called AAA, they came and had a look, and said it had absolutely nothing to do with the battery, which they felt was in fine condition. They told me to keep the engine on and battery charging for half an hour, which I did. Later that day I fortunately had an appointment for an oil change at Lia Hyundai in Albany, NY and when I asked Brian Secord about this, he/they had a look at the battery and quickly determined it was on its last legs: CCA of 124 when 670 is what's expected. They installed a new battery which was enormously relieving and psychologically comforting. Otherwise it would have failed again very soon, leaving me stranded and unable to get to my office in time to see scheduled patients. All of the staff at this dealership are wonderful. Mr. Secord is particularly knowledgeable, thorough, efficient and personable. I am very relieved and grateful to have exceptionally good help each and every time it's needed. Lia Hyundai sucks in wanting to help others. I leased a Hyundai electric Ioniq EV from a different dealership and was passing through Albany on a road trip. I was really low on my charge and decided to stop at Lia Hyundai (Albany). When I showed up to try and charge, two sales guys were rude as anything. They told me: since I did NOT lease my car from them (FYI - they did not, and do not, have the car in stock), I could not use their charger. I told them that I was really low in charge and in need. My car had single digits left in charge and I was getting kinda stuck. They did not care - not one bit. Also, I told them that I had called a couple days earlier (which I had!) and was told (by the lady who answered the phone) that I could come by and charge my car... but these two sales reps would not have any of it. Rude, ruder and rudest. One sales guy then told me: "if they let me use the charger, maybe a customer would come in and need a charge. Then what?" I explained politely: "Then I would be more than happy to unplug and let them charge." I also expressed doubt at the remote probability of some local customer coming during my 20 to 30 minute charge and needing to kick me off. He said that two days earlier a couple of customers had come in for a charge (as if to imply that it was at least somewhat possible). He would NOT budge. What a knucklehead!! They directed me to use some proprietary unit at a mall down the road (which was a ruse to get rid of me as they were Tesla Superchargers - which my car is not compatible with). Plus, when he told me this, he gave me the worst lying face I think I ever saw. I even called him out on the lie. I mean: sales guys should be much better liars than this guy. His face gave him away. My guess: is he's not much of a salesman either. Then, after a lot of back and forth, the guy capitulated and said: he would let me charge the car for THREE MINUTES ?!?! Are you serious?!? THREE minutes?!? Was he going to time me? Set a stopwatch? The charger was sitting empty with no one using it !!! The dealership was pretty empty looking. And after 12 to 15 minutes of back and forth and putting up with his rudeness, three lousy minutes was the best offer ?!? I wanted to ask him (but held my tongue): does the plugging in time and unplugging also count in the 3 minutes? Can you believe this? What is wrong with these people !!! Bottom line: Hyundai should have a policy to allow Hyundai owners to charge free at any dealership nationwide. Period. I mean: how are we supposed to be expected to buy an EV car, when charging it is so difficult when taking a road trip. Plus, has a company/brand never heard of goodwill. FYI - after going to the mall and finding the Tesla charging stations outside the Whole Foods supermarket, I then found a Chevy dealership which was more than happy to help me in any way. Came into the Lia Hyundai Albany dealership and was greeted by Michael Reaulo. Mike sat us down and went over our options and was very helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up leasing a 2019 Sonata and Mike was with us every step of the way. He found us all the discounts we could qualify for and worked hard to keep us in our budget. We were very comfortable with Mike and he answered all of our questions from start to finish. Very happy with our experience. We would recommend Lia Hyundai and Mike Reaulo to friends and family. Thanks Mike! Terry and Marlena More
Unfortunately had to be towed in on a Sunday. Monday morning I had a voicemail from Brian Secord even before I could call to ask about the status of my vehicle. Excellent service from Brian Secord in Service First, I bought my car through another dealer, somewhat far away from my home and thought I had to have all of my service done there. I got a notice regarding a recall on my car and happened to call Lia and they had me come right in and Brian and I hit it off immediately. He is a wonderful person, very friendly professional, calls me with updates as to what is going on with another camera issue that I was having. Great Customer Service is hard to come by these days, but Brian is what Customer Service should be. Thank you Brian for everything!!!! More
