I have purchased a lot of vehicles and Steve was the most professional, respectful and truthful sales rep I have ever dealt with. We spent several hours with Steve and he basically got in an argument with his boss to get us the deal we wanted. If it wasn’t for Steve we would have left the dealership, in a matter of minutes. He went out of his way to help his clients and it is greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend any one in the market for a new vehicle to give Steve at Libertyville Kia a shot to earn your business, I don’t think you will be disappointed. More
BAIT AND SWITCH !! I called them ahead of time to see if they had any 2017 Nissan Sentra's left on the lot they said yes 23 of them. I drove over an hour to get there and when I got there there they right away showed me a 2018 Nissan Sentra. When I asked about the 2017's listed on their website they said they had sold the last one earlier. They asked me to provide them a stock number of the ones listed on their website after I provided them with the stock number they said those were loaner cars and they couldn't sell them. I walked out! I just checked their website and they still have 23 2017 Nissan Sentra's listed. More

Explained to him I lived a hour and half away and I wasn’t going to go unless it was guaranteed. “It will be worth your time” he says so the next day I pay for a Uber and drive there only to find out I wasn’t approved and he was trying to get me to give him another family members social. Disgusted, I told them up front I had challenged credit they guaranteed me, stay away I lost 140 to drive back home with nothing ! More

Bait & Switch - WORST car buying experience I've ever had! This dealership uses aggressive bait & switch tactics - they'll lure you in with a phenomenal online price, but once you're there, you'll find out the This dealership uses aggressive bait & switch tactics - they'll lure you in with a phenomenal online price, but once you're there, you'll find out the actual price is WAY higher. They also aggressively push financing even when you say you want to pay cash. Read more about my horrible experience below... I went to this dealership twice in a week timeframe. The first was on a new 2017. The second was on a used 2015. Test drives went fine, and my sales rep (Brandon) was very low-key and seemed very nice. The issue began when talking numbers. On the new car, the price of the car alone - not including any destination fees or "dealership fee" was immediately $2000 over the listed price online. And it just went up from there. There was a hard push for financing. Pretty much all they'd discuss was 4.9% for 75 months. This is regardless of credit or what the customer wants. I'm talking a HARD financing push. It was very clear that this dealership makes a good deal off of high interest rate financing, so that's what they push. Walked away. Came back to look at at used 2015. Again, test drive was fine and the issues came with the numbers. Used car manager insisted on quoting numbers with financing, despite the fact that I wanted out the door, cash numbers and had made this very clear. We're talking three times he came with financing numbers, and three times I said absolutely not - I am not interested in financing. Moreover, the used car manager kept increasing the actual price of the car - all of which were WELL OVER the internet price and price stated ON THE CAR!!! It was unreal. In the end, I attempted to speak with man named Sean Mitchell about my unpleasant experience, and he couldn't have cared less. To say that he was rude is an understatement. Insert expletive here. He passed himself off as the General Manager (he is actually the sales manager) and was so rude and absolutely the epitome of every bad car salesman stereotype you've ever heard. I walked out thankful I had not done business with this place. This is NOT the kind of dealership you want to do business with. I have been looking at cars for several weeks now, and this dealership was by far the shadiest, with hidden fees coming from all angles. They rope you in with good prices online, but buyer beware - those are NOT the prices you will actually pay (whether you're roped into their financing or not). I will not set foot in this place again. Unbelievable. I hate to say this, but IMO, if you're been treated well here, it's likely that you far overpaid on your car. Just read the other reviews. And of course they were nice to you - they were ripping you off and dancing on the paycheck you just handed them over. More
Very bad sales experience We went to Liberty VW to get only the quote for a new car on Saturday, 5th August and met with Tyler. He gave the quote of a new Jetta with finance. However, he didn't reveal the rate of interest despite asking several times. He forced us to buy the car even when we wanted to get milk for kids before the shops close Finance manager revealed a high interest rate of 6.4% at very end when it was not possible fir us to get a lower rate from our bank. We then decided to complete the paperwork and then take delivery on Monday at 7 PM. Finance manager Jay assured of delivery in 5 minutes on Monday. However, when we visited on Monday, sales person Tyler was out sick and sales manager Tom Sullivan did not know about the delivery. He said it would take 1 hr to get the car ready. This is highly un professional. rude and un acceptable behavior. Request no one to buy from this dealer. More

They list internet prices that cannot be obtained by anyone (really, someone who JUST graduated from college while also being enlisted in the military while also being an uber driver and is also currently a Kia owner.....), and they will not give you firm answers via text or e-mail. They do their best to avoid putting anything in writing, just reading through prior reviews explains why. I was planning on driving 320 miles to buy a car here, boy am I glad I did some research first! Don't waste your time here, there are plenty of other dealers who don't play games and use pricing gimmicks. More
