Typical auto dealership experience. Dealerships are out to make $$, will never let a vehicle be sold at a loss, so for several managers to state several times "they are taking a loss" wa Dealerships are out to make $$, will never let a vehicle be sold at a loss, so for several managers to state several times "they are taking a loss" was unnecessary. This dealership added a "MOPAR Maint Agreement and Mats", one manager told me it could be removed, another manager overrode that and said it could not. Was just another dealer markup. The mats were $500 and in my opinion, Weather Tech mats are better quality and far cheaper. Lastly, the tactic of adding $2K if a buyer chooses to finance thru their own bank or credit union is ridiculous. With a credit rating that exceeded 825 I should have been able to use my personal lender which was a lower percentage rate than offered by Lindsay. Again - all a way for the dealership to increase its' profits. For me, having bought several new vehicles over the years, nothing has changed to improve the process and tactics of auto sales persons. They treat you with a smile, want you to believe they are giving you a good deal, all the while looking at getting every penny then can. The tactic is to wear you down. It is what it is, an auto dealership. I did manage to get a fair deal but it was an exhaustive ordeal which took several weeks to reach an agreement. I only selected Yes as recommending this dealership because they have the best Jeep inventory in the area in my view. More
