We drove away with a brand new one. Otis Tate was very instrumental in getting us into the CR-V. We came to look at a Pilot we spotted on the website. It was an LX and in our price range, but ended up being very standard. Otis sold us on the new redesigned CR-V with all the bells and whistles. In our price range. We absolutely love it!! Thank you Otis. More

They won't take "no" for an answer, but really should So I requested info about a car from Lindsay Acura about a month ago but the price was too high and I decided against pursuing the vehicle. I was then So I requested info about a car from Lindsay Acura about a month ago but the price was too high and I decided against pursuing the vehicle. I was then contacted every two days by Lindsay Acura to ask if I was still interested in a car. I deleted them mostly until I saw a car I liked show up in the regular messages. I responded to the message to say I'd like a test drive and off I went to do just that. And from there the story gets weird. I went to take the test drive, showing up first at Lindsay Acura only to be told that the person who'd been messaging me for the last month didn't work there, he only worked in the "internet", but "I'll introduce you to one of our pre-owned reps". And they did. I met "Eric" and told him what I was there to test drive and he stopped me in mid-sentence to tell me I really needed to go to Lindsay Honda. "That's funny", I said, "I've been getting messages from Lindsay Acura about this car?" He shrugged and I left. I walked across the car lot to the building opposite, Lindsay Honda, and went to find someone to help me with my test drive. The first person I met asked if I was being helped and I briefly explained the scenario. He shook his head and said he'd get someone for me. That's when I met "Rachel". She was a nice girl, very polite. But she spent about 20 minutes while I sat at her desk just calling around trying to find out if she was "allowed" to help me. I don't care what your internal compensation structure looks like, but having me wait for 20 minutes while you figure out who is supposed to get the commission on a sale that hasn't even happened yet is just a waste of my time AND yours. Afterward, she finally took an interest in me when she was finally allowed to help me. She located the car I was there to test drive and brought it around for us to test. And, yes, this actually happened. We go in the car, drove it for about 2 minutes and the engine blew. "That's never happened to me before", she said. Good to know. We limped back to the dealership on two cylinders while I attempted to make small talk in the uncomfortable silence of our debilitated test car. And, yes, this actually happened too... When we got back to the dealership she asked if I wanted her to put together a deal on the car, promising to get it "looked at by the service department". I told her "no". I reminded her that I was there for a very particular type of car. Just any other car wouldn't do. She still fired up the website on her computer and started scrolling through looking for something else with which to tempt me. I don't know why modern car dealers think that the rest of us don't know how to use the internet at home on our own. I had a better grasp of the cars on her lot than she did. We eventually settled on a Honda to test. Being that this was, in fact, Lindsay HONDA, I expected this car to be flawless. But, no. We took it on a tour. It was pouring rain and the middle of rush hour. We made a quick low-speed circuit of the area around the dealership which I lamented to her that I really wanted to see it up at highway speed. So she offered another route we could take. We made it onto the freeway where I was able to stretch its legs all the way up to 40 miles per hour... I noted that the right turn signal didn't work properly and that there was a strange shimmy in the front right side. She politely suggested I was just imagining it. We got back to the dealership where she immediately asked if I wanted to go ahead with a deal for the Honda. I said "no". I explained to her that the price was too high for the number of miles on it, for the condition of it, and that the turn signal/shimmy problem was one that required further investigation. "There is nothing wrong with the turn signal" she offered again. My reply was direct and unmistakable: "Honey, I've been driving these cars for 20 years, I know how to work the turn signal". "Well, we can come up with a deal and I can have the service department fix all those problems." she offered. "No," I said again, "your service department just sent us out with a car that blew up." "I will get you the service records for the Honda," she said. She hurried away to procure these documents. I took one of her business cards and wrote down on the back of it exactly for what I was looking and my phone number. I took another of her cards and put it into my coat pocket. Then I waited... And waited... And that's when it happened. She sent in "the closer". You know, that one manager who lives with the delusion that he can close any deal. The kind of guy who is probably really good at poker as long as he's playing with someone else's money. He sat down opposite me and asked what he needed to do to put me in that car. I explained to him it had a history of disappointing me. He was unmoved by my statement. "Well, what are you looking for?" he asked, precisely as I expected he would. I slapped the business card I'd written out on the desk right in front of him. "That," I said, "find me that. Then call me." Realizing that I was unmoved by any further efforts at negotiation he left. Rachel returned and I explained to her that I was entirely done with this experience. I thanked her for the pleasant part of the afternoon and left. More

My fiancé and I walked into Lindsay on a whim to get a little more information about our options. Jason Youngblood was waiting to greet us at the front door. He took the time to listen to our concerns and understand out budget. He was able to suggest some different options that would work for us. We came back the next day after some research and took a test drive with Jason. He was quick to answer our questions and after sitting down to negotiate we were able to come to an agreement on price. Before going to financing, it was discovered that the owner's manual and deal packet for the 2016 model we picked out was missing. As a comparable 2016 was not available, they offered us the exact same model and trim in a 2017 at our original agreed price. I was not expecting such an honest, genuine effort to make it right . I would easily recommend Jason and the Lindsay family for their efforts to make sure we got to leave with the car we wanted at a price we were comfortable with. More
