I appreciated the retro artwork at the showroom around the Beetle and the Micro-bus, and I might have bought a Beetle that day. Alfonso, on sales team, was on point, and we had a nice drive around the back lot and quickly found my desired package. Lindsay's prices are incredibly fair to boot. Ask for Alfonso Monteverdi, he'll take great care of you. More

I had truly been dreading the car buying process but the salesperson I worked with, Raj, made it so EASY and PAINLESS! He followed up in a way that was helpful but not annoying, kept his word about price, and gave me a great rundown of all of the key features. The financing team was amazing as well - I was able to handle everything over the phone to save time and ensure there were no surprises. I definitely will recommend Lindsay (especially Raj!!) to others. More

NO INTEGRITY!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I was quickly pushed down the priority level just because i bought a used car and i was using my warranty. Not cool VW OF STERLING, i had an appt which i took time of work to make. Way to screw a working mom by making this visit almost useless. More

As before, he generously offered to stay late so we could make the 1-hour drive in heavy traffic. He and Jon Kerbaugh listened to my needs and put together a great offer, allowed us a day to consider, handled our special requests, and Alfonso again stayed late the next day to finish the deal. Our finance manager, Teemour Piracha, listened to our requests and arranged our financing precisely as we needed, quickly, professionally, with good humor and no pressure. We drove to another state across the DC metro in rush hour because of the way we were treated the first time at Lindsay VW. After this experience, next time we'll drive all day if we have to so we can do business with these people for our next car. More
Regarding the August 29, 2019 negative review, I can only say that my experience with Lindsay VW and Stephen Kappler were quite the opposite. On November 4th, 2018 I went to Lindsay to look at a 2016 Toure say that my experience with Lindsay VW and Stephen Kappler were quite the opposite. On November 4th, 2018 I went to Lindsay to look at a 2016 Toureag TDI executive that had just appeared in TrueCar that day. We called Lindsay, spoke with Stephen and arranged to go see the car immediately. For those that are not aware, the TDI models are like gold in a dealer's inventory, especially the Toureags. They wait for no one. We inspected the car, reviewed the service history and the Car Fax provided by Stephen. I drove the car then we bought it on the spot. To keep things short, Stephen, Mariya (in Finance) and Pete Herman in Service did everything we asked without any hard sells or push back. I was surprised. Having worked at a car dealership while in college in the DC area I know just a bit about what can happen. That was in the early 80's. Things have changed. The Toureag has been great. So great that my next door neighbor bought one as well by the end of the month. We have subsequently brought several friends to Lindsay for cars, actually driving them there ourselves. Not one has left unhappy. There are always three sides to every story. More

Trust, not something I found there Recently purchased used 2014 Mini Cooper JCW Countryman, once I drove it off the lot (after the test drive) less than 20 miles down the road, I hear s Recently purchased used 2014 Mini Cooper JCW Countryman, once I drove it off the lot (after the test drive) less than 20 miles down the road, I hear squealing, turns out it's the pressure plate. They ask me to bring it back in and they'll take a look at it. Took it to their service department and after several drives by their team, they could not find or repeat the problem. Service representative advised me to take it to mini and have them take a look at it- stating I would want "mini" service techs working on the car. Finally able to take it to mini, they are able to locate the problem, let me know it's the pressure plate and ran the estimate for repair on this item for $2,481.62. I called Lindsey back, transferred to used sales manager and said mini found the problem, here it is.. Pressure plate and here's the estimate... Lindsay than backs out and washes their hands clean of the problem.. Sorry, normal wear and tear item, nothing we can do... WOW, yes it is a normal wear and tear item, but really, sell me a car that is sitting on YOUR LOT with a pressure plate problem.. in other words the car NEEDS repair. YOU sold me a car that NEEDS REPAIR. So, at the request of the used sales manager, I bring it back to your shop, they cannot find the problem, recommend taking it to mini, find out the issue is pressure plate and suddenly wash hands clean. Funny how we went from thanks for your business, here's my card, let us know if we can assist to....... sorry, can't help... WOW.... will NEVER do business with these folks again and will NOT recommend them to anyone. I called back to Lindsay dealership about 20 min after I left the showroom and suddenly not their problem... WOW.... only highlight of the visit was Alfonso in sales... Only follow on advice, check out forums, see what they say about the pressure plate, I would think you can get another who knows, 30,000 miles out of it.... More
