I brought my 2016 Volvo XC60 in for two specific items: to properly secure the battery with the bracket and to install a cabin air filter. At the time of drop-off, the vehicle was operational. The battery had been installed two months prior but was not secured with the bracket, which I provided and asked them to install. After the service visit, I was told the vehicle would not start and that $700+ in diagnostics would be required to determine the issue. This was after the battery had been reinstalled. There were multiple breakdowns in communication: My appointment details were recorded incorrectly (stating the bracket was broken and omitting the coupon I provided) Key information I gave in advance was not communicated to the service team I had to restate details multiple times, including reading from my appointment confirmation I was also advised to replace a two-month-old battery that had already tested OK, at a cost of over $500, without a clear explanation of why it was deemed unusable. I repeatedly asked for clarification on what was done to the battery, including whether it was inspected, tested, and properly secured. I did not receive a clear answer, and I still do not have confirmation of the work performed on that component. I escalated the issue through customer service and ultimately to management. My request to review arrival footage (to confirm the vehicle’s condition) was declined. An invoice adjustment was eventually made, but only after follow-up and described as an “exception,” despite clear breakdowns in their processes. At this point, the vehicle is not operating as it did prior to service, and I do not have clear documentation of what was done. I’ve owned a Volvo 240DL, 760 GLE, and now an XC60. Based on this experience with Lindsay’s service department, I won't be back. More
I had a TERRIFIC experience with Lindsay Volvo. I live in WA state, but the model I wanted was only available on the East Coast. I was nervous it would be hard/impossible to lease across the country, but Seamus made it easy and quick. He was super straightforward and honest in his dealings, and had a contract in front of me with zero surprises that same day. Graham was terrific in helping me get signed up with VCSF and helped with paperwork plus some tips about this unusual car, and Markell their manager prepped the car for shipping on their day off since my shipper came by early. After the car arrived here, there was one tiny issue (temporary plates not included) and Graham responded to my email and fixed it on a Sunday! Outstanding job my all involved! By far the best car buying experience in my life and the most trustworthy dealers I've yet dealt with. Could not be happier with everything. More
Just bought a Volvo certified 3-year old S60 with 34k miles. The car is still under both new car and certified car warranties. The finance guy was actually a little upset after learning the car would be paid in cash, and he was so impatient that he left his office before me. Then came the worst part. When I took a long metro ride (1.5 hours) to pick up the car, one remote was missing and they could not fix it right away, the spare tire was missing and the compartment cover was not functioning. I had to drive a long way to go back to fix the issues. But it was very difficult to schedule an appointment, they kept telling me the earliest appointment was 2 to 3 weeks away. After many attempts and with the salesperson's help, finally got an appointment and wasted two hour drive and waited there for several hours to get the remote and spare tire. The other issues have not been fixed yet. More
I am appalled at thw discrepancies in pricing qotes for FOB replacement costs. One sevice technician is, without a doubt ATTEMPTING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FACT I AM A FEMALE.
