Before Lions can respond with “thank you for sharing your opinion,” I want to state clearly that our experience yesterday, Saturday January 10, at Lions Pre-Owned Cars Orlando was absolutely awful. It is not opinion,” I want to state clearly that our experience yesterday, Saturday January 10, at Lions Pre-Owned Cars Orlando was absolutely awful. It is not an opinion when it is an abject experience. My friend was looking for a Toyota Camry. Online, both on Cars.com and Lions’ own website, she found a 2019 Toyota Camry listed at $9,900. She spoke with two employees, Raph and Jay, both on the phone and via text. On three separate occasions, over several days, they confirmed in writing that the car was available and that it would be $11,000 out the door. They were fully aware that we live in Tallahassee, nearly four hours away, and still repeatedly told her that all she needed to do was come in and get the car. She was told that while negotiating might happen in person, at the very least she would get the car and it would be no more than $11,000 out the door. On Fri., Jan. 9, they again confirmed the price and availability by phone and text. On Sat. morning, Jan. 10, we left Tallahassee at 6:50am. While we were literally on the road, Lions texted again to confirm that she was coming to get the car. We arrived around 11am, earlier than expected, blissfully unaware of the xxxxshow we were walking into. Instead of a normal dealership, the place felt like an internet cafe. Salespeople were on giant TVs calling in via DISCORD. 2-3 employees were physically present only to grab keys. What the xxxx is this place. We were seated and put on a call with a salesperson named Brenda. Brenda immediately told us the 2019 Camry had been bought in cash that morning and shipped to Miami. Convenient. She also said delivery could have been an option, which was never offered to my friend. Importantly, Brenda repeated the exact same price my friend had been quoted on the phone: $9,900, $11,000 out the door. After we rejected a Toyota Corolla that was filthy and clearly not comparable to what was promised, we were transferred to the supervisor, Gabriel. This is where the experience went from bad to completely unacceptable. He claimed the $9,900 price was impossible, despite the written record, the Cars.com listing, and Lions’ own website. When shown the proof, he said the website was wrong, that they “aren’t doing marketing right now,” and that their website “sometimes makes mistakes.” He then suggested that something might be possible if my friend was willing to finance. When we made it clear she was paying cash, he said, very plainly, “we’re not really in the car business, we’re in the selling credit business through buying a car.” I have never heard that said so openly. Gabriel then said there might be a 2020 Toyota Camry, but it was “in the shop getting fixed and detailed,” and we would have to wait. Again, this is after my friend had been pressured repeatedly to come in person and guaranteed that making the nearly four hour drive meant she would get a car. When we pushed back and explained that we couldn’t wait any longer, Gabriel explained that the employees who confirmed everything “aren’t actual salesmen, they just sell the appointments.” He showed us 7 alternative cars he would “offer” at $11,000. All were absolutely filthy. Several smelled like smoke. Multiple had trash inside. 1 still had the previous owner’s mail in it (if your name is Chase D., you may want to call them and check on that.) Only one car was remotely acceptable, and it was still years older than what my friend was promised and smelled awful. Gabriel’s excuse was that they have too many cars to ensure they are all clean. In the end, my friend left without a car and with a long drive back to Tallahassee. When a business gives repeated promises in writing, confirms availability multiple times, and then tries to gaslight customers once they arrive, that isn’t a mere misunderstanding but it is a business that cannot be trusted. Character limit. Very disappointed. More

I was in talk about a certain vehicle for weeks and Mr John Williams and other employees. they were constantly implying the vehicle was available and I should come down to see it. They implied they were John Williams and other employees. they were constantly implying the vehicle was available and I should come down to see it. They implied they were flexible with any type of down payment and we had already talked numbers beforehand multiple times and came to an agreement on the amount I would put down. I also ask multiple time to be pre approved and do paper work before hand so I wouldn’t have any problems with receiving the vehicle once it was time but they denied the request. The day before arriving to the lot I made a phone call to the dealership to verify the vehicle was ready and they said it was available and I could come down the next day for pickup. Once I arrived to the lot the vehicle was nowhere in sight and after questioning the staff there excuse was the vehicle had left for maintenance and wouldn’t be ready until a week. Instead of notifying me ahead of time they waited until I arrived at the lot to explain what had happened. More
