I was interest in a 2024 Coralla Hatchback that I saw on Tuesday. It was in transit and not at the dealership. Friday 3/8/24 I get texts and calls telling me the car is in! Around 12:30 I go to the dealersh Tuesday. It was in transit and not at the dealership. Friday 3/8/24 I get texts and calls telling me the car is in! Around 12:30 I go to the dealership. After finally connecting with the salesperson I had spoken to, he puts me with someone else after kindly telling me that the car actually did not come in! But we can look at some other similar cars, get my car appraised for trade-in, etc. We do some of that and, good news! The car just came in on the truck! But it will take awhile to offload it and do the paperwork. It's 1:30 now, so I asked to take a lunch break and I'll come back! Great! The hatchback will be cleaned and sitting out front when I return at 2:30. But, it wasn't there when I returned because I was told they had taken it to get fuel put in! OK, fine. Let's do the credit check and start talking some numbers. And then, somehow, I don't know why but the hatchback wasn't on that truck (much less getting fuel put into it). That's it. No car to see. The car that keeps being there but not really being there. I huffed out and back into my wonderful old car. I've had for 12 years, may as well just keep driving it since it's in excellent condition. And that's what I originally told the salesperson -- it's not that I actually need a car and I can wait a long time. More
