We were traveling with a 5th wheel trailer from Canada to Arizona in January .2026. Coming up to Helena, Montana we got a check engine light on our duramax diesel truck. We stopped at Lithia for service. to Arizona in January .2026. Coming up to Helena, Montana we got a check engine light on our duramax diesel truck. We stopped at Lithia for service. They got us in the next morning and replaced our DEF pump, module and harness. We paid $2550.00 usd and were on our way. We made it 70 miles and the same issue came up. It was Friday afternoon and we had to return to Lithia in Helena. They said the GM pump they installed must be defective. They ordered another part but we would have to wait until Monday for their service department to open. Three nights in a hotel later we brought our truck back early in the morning on Monday. Waited all day for updates, nothing. Called in, and when we could get through they said they were waiting for the part to arrive. Truck was not ready that day. Tuesday was more of the same. Calling in for updates and given the runaround. Truck wasn't ready again. They said that the GM pump they installed was defective. Service rep said it was common to have GM parts be defective., sometimes taking 3 or 4 attempts to get a good one. Another night in a hotel. Wednesday we waited for the part again. Asked for updates on progress, didn't get any. Tried calling in, but all of a sudden their number was no longer in service. I think they blocked my number, but I can't prove it. In frustration I phoned the car sales line and asked for the dealerships manager. Left an lengthy voicemail explaining everything that had happened over the last several days. Never heard a word from him. Late Wednesday afternoon we finally got a call saying the truck was ready. After all this we were skeptical of the repair being ok. Asked questions and they lied to me about the test drive and other things. We took the truck and drove 80 miles to ensure everything was OK. Next morning we got up and drove straight home for 11 hour. This dealership was the worst experience I have ever had for service. They really didn't seem to care that we were stranded and paying for hotel rooms and meals. They lied and ignored us. They are the reason we turned around and headed home. They say that employee communication and attitude starts at the top. This experience rated a 0 stars. More

If I could give 0 stars for the service department I would. The general manager of the dealership was awful when I tried to communicate with him over email and they put my vehicle and myself at risk. They released my truck to me promising that the work had been completed and it was good to drive, just to get a call 10 minutes later saying they hadn’t touched my truck or done anything to it. This was a major oil leak that the service department had advised me was and I quote “unsafe to drive with and could create more issues and dangerous situations”. That was a complete fraud and thank god my truck, my dog or myself were seriously injured. They refused to compensate me at all for the rental car I had to pay for during the month long time since I schedule my appointment and said they don’t offer loaner vehicles or rentals, just for me to arrive at the service department to find a customer of theirs arriving to pick up a rental car, they completely lied. An awful experience and I wouldn’t recommend service at this dealership at all and they still refuse to help me in any way and were rude about it. I have consulted a lawyer over this and even providing them with that information they still refused any help to me at all. Terrible experience and I will never ever recommend this place or have them touch my truck again. Awful place to go. More
