Shouldn't Have Been Greedy, Buyer Beware! I will never set foot on the property again or ever purchase any vehicle from a Lithia Dealership. I sent an online request to schedule an appointme I will never set foot on the property again or ever purchase any vehicle from a Lithia Dealership. I sent an online request to schedule an appointment and was offered a $25 Amazon gift card that I would bring the certificate to the dealer. I had numerous text messages with the VIP manager and asked about Troy Jarvis. I had a previous encounter with 13 years ago and was told they didn't have anyone by that name. A few minutes later I was texted an apology that he was The General Manager. The day of the appointment, June 10, 2017, I received more text messages, a voicemail message about my appointment and if I wasn't going to be there I needed to call the VIP manager. I arrived about 11:15am for my 11:30am appointment and was told they were all in a sales meeting and no one would be available until noon. It was fine I needed to get all of my paperwork together after visiting another dealership at 9am. I sat down at one of their tables and waited. A salesman approached me and he looked familiar. I should have asked for someone else. I test drove the Jeep Cherokee Sport, Patriot, USED Jeep Cherokee Sport, Renegade and realized my familiarity with David D was correct. He previously worked for Alaska Club and would promote memberships in the Sears Mall. I would purposely walk the other way and go in a separate entrance when I would see him, not make eye contact, etc. He was over-the-top and too pushy for my taste. It's now 12:40 and I realize I'm not going to make my 1pm appointment at a 3rd dealership and cancelled the appointment. I told David I would like to see the numbers on the Cherokee Sport and he grabbed my truck keys to do a trade-in appraisal. It's now getting closer to 2pm and I do tell him I have a 3pm volunteer meeting I need to make at APD Headquarters. I get accosted that I wasn't up front with him, he didn't know I was on a time schedule, he was giving me all the time I needed (mind you when I was scheduling the appointment I said between 11am - 3pm), and he walked back into Finance. I'm stressed at this point and go use the bathroom. No David...he's standing over by the sales manager's desk. It's now 2:45pm. I walk over to the desk and ask for my car keys. Both of them ask what my problem is, why I can't make a decision, it's a good deal, what's stopping me. I was ready to jump over the desk, grab my keys and RUN! They tell me the couple over there is on the same vehicle at that price. Let me guess you have one car at that price. I tell them fine...if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. The car will still be there after my 3pm appointment. The sales manager proceeds to tell me he's been in the business a number of years and that's not how it is. He doesn't want me returning having lost out and then be upset they did something wrong. I ask David if he's going to be around later. I just wanted my keys...I felt my truck was being held hostage. I asked for my truck keys. I couldn't have gotten out of there FAST ENOUGH. I miss the 3pm volunteer meeting. I return to the dealership I missed my 1pm appointment with. At 7:35pm I receive a text message with David's business card and they've dropped my monthly payment by $50/month. I was disgusted...what happened to the one car at that price, the other couple....I wanted to rant and go off. I held my tongue and just said I purchased a vehicle from Kendall that would better fit my needs. More
Rafiq Young was Awsome I felt that Lithia was trustworthy and I felt secure that I received the best product for the cost I paid.
