Good experience Probably the most painless car buying experience I've ever had. They worked hard to get me what I wanted, at the price I wanted. No tricks. The worst service you could ever have I first called the Pocatello Lithia dealership on August 1st to get an appointment for my Dodge Caravan. We needed the Van looked at because the tran I first called the Pocatello Lithia dealership on August 1st to get an appointment for my Dodge Caravan. We needed the Van looked at because the transmission was acting up and we were close to our warranty ending and wanted to get it in before that happened. When I called I was told that I go the oil change tech and he would leave a message for Tom to call me and set up an appointment. Two days later (August 3rd) I called again and once again was told that Tom would call and set up an appointment, this same pattern happened all that week and the next week. Every two days I would call and be told that I would get a phone call back. I had an enough so on August 14th 2017- dropped of the van at the dealership and When I entered the service department Tom stood there and pretended to be busy for 15 minutes before he would even acknowledge that I was there. I even tried to speak to him and he just ignored me. Finally after talking to him he said that he could have it done within the week but not any sooner because they were busy. I said that was fine if it was done within the week. On Monday August 21st called to check on the progress of the van. The lady we talked to on the phone couldn’t find our paperwork and said that we were not even in the computer system and she transferred us to Tom and he put us on hold for 10 minutes to look for the paperwork. Tom told us that it was in the bay being worked on which was a complete lie because we just drove by the dealership in drove around the parking lot and saw our van sitting in the parking lot not in the Bay. Tom then tried to back pedal and then said that the paperwork was in the bay not the van which was another lie (Lie #2) because he had not even entered our information in the system yet so there was no paperwork. Thursday August 24, 2017 Called to check on status and Tom said that it was in the bay as we speak and they are running a diagnostics test on it. My wife told Tom that we would have to have a courtesy van to use since it is taking longer than he told us it would to fix. Tom said he would look into the Warranty and call back with details of when we can pick up a courtesy van until ours is fixed. Guess what he never called back. Go figure. On Saturday August 26th I called and talked to Reid the General Manager and told him everything that has gone on and that we were not happy with Tom. Reid said he would get ahold of Tom and the transmission guy on Monday and Reid Guaranteed me that Tom would call by the end of the day Monday August 28th 2017. When I asked if our vehicle had even been diagnosed yet Reid said no it had not been looked at yet but the paperwork was in the folder to be worked on next. (Toms Third lie to us) He said he would make sure they run a diagnostics on it first thing Monday. When Monday evening came and once again no phone calls from Tom, so I called Ried to complain and Reid said that he would talk to the Transmission Tech and Tom again and make sure my car is done first thing Tuesday Morning and he insured me that he would have them call me when it was done and ready to picked up. Tuesday I received a nasty voicemail from Tom and said that he was now working on it and there was something else wrong with the van but he was so irate on the phone you couldn’t understand him. Lithia has a Texting Service so I texted him to ask him what was going on and he told me through a text message that it was a problem with the transmission module and some lines were leaking and there was recall on the van (which we already knew we asked him to fix that as well when we first took it into him but he apparently doesn’t listen very well). He said that it would be done Wednesday by Noon. Thursday August 31st comes around and no phone call from Tom saying that it was ready for pick up so I once again called Reid and he told me that Tom had told him that the car was done on Tuesday Afternoon (Toms fourth Lie to us now). Reid asked me when I could come pick it up and I told him that I was not paying for the warranty deducible now because of the hassle that Tom has put us through for the last month and he said he completely understands and not to even go to the service department when I get there to pick up the vehicle but go to the sales department and he will have the keys there and they would give me the keys and he would make sure that they vacuumed out the van and will wash the van for us. When I get there that night Reid sends me to the service department and the Service department manager argued with me and forced me to pay the $100.00 deductible which at this point I was tired from a long day’s work and just paid the xxxx bill and left. When I get to the van it was not vacuumed out and it had not been washed so I guess Tom has learned little tricks from Reid so now I understand why Tom is the way he is. I have never had such horrible customer service in my life. Tom has no integrity what so ever. And for xxxx sakes we caught him lying to us four different times. That is not acceptable what so ever. Stay clear from Tom and or Lithia all together for that matter. I will be talking my van to 20th Century Dodge in Blackfoot from now on for any work that needs to be done in the future. More
