We just purchased a 2021 F350 xlt from Lithia Ford Mercury. Easy to negotiate with. But upon driving the 250 miles home from that dealer in Roseburg, we discovered the tires on the 2021 F350 were wor Mercury. Easy to negotiate with. But upon driving the 250 miles home from that dealer in Roseburg, we discovered the tires on the 2021 F350 were worn more than they should have been for 9600 miles the odometer was showing. Upon checking the window sticker and the date on the sidewall of the tire they are not original to this truck, and they were manufactured 7.5 years ago. In 2015! Well, we purchased this truck to haul a camper. So we contacted our salesman, and for two days he did not respond. Then he responded with "well our service department said they were okay". We told him that 7.5 year old tires are not okay, and that when you purchase a 2021 you expect the tires to not be expired. Our salesman Cliff Bell then said "what is the size of the tire I'll look out back". Well we have heard nothing back. And who wants tires that have been removed off another vehicle for whatever reason? We are disappointed with this dealership, we should have done our due diligence, and checked the date on the tires... but it really didn't occur to us that they would remove the 2021 tires the vehicle came with and put on 7.5 year old expired set of tires. I mean who does that?! They won't even split the cost of getting tires that we can use. I would avoid dealing with this dealership due to their nonchalant attitude toward safety parts on their vehicles ... but I guess they feel what heck it isn't us that is going to have a blowout at freeway speeds in the summer hauling our family and camper. I purchased my 2009 Ford Focus under the "Cash for clunkers " program during the Obama economic stimulus. A friend at work recommended that I invest in the "lifetime oil change option". I love my c clunkers " program during the Obama economic stimulus. A friend at work recommended that I invest in the "lifetime oil change option". I love my car, I'm disappointed that Ford has opted to discontinue this model but it seems that we were correctly informed that the Focus is rarely seen for service except for oil changes. With the life time inspection, I have been encouraged to take care of this vehicle better than any other vehicle in my life. I am 73 years old and have been through a few cars in my time. The personnel at Lithia in Roseburg have been courteous, respectful and prompt. This will likely be the last car I will own as I was told that I should see 300,000 miles with proper care and maintenance. I only have 154,000 miles at this time, just half its life expectancy! More
Service Department is inexcusably deficient. They never return calls, don't give updates if things are not going well, and lie to your face. I brought my new 2021 F-150 in for a lift kit. The first one the return calls, don't give updates if things are not going well, and lie to your face. I brought my new 2021 F-150 in for a lift kit. The first one they did was supposed to be a level 3 inch lift. It was not level and when they returned the vehicle it had a part broken on the suspension. I opted to go ahead take that one off to install the 6 inch lift which is also not a level lift but I have more room to drop the rear down to get it level. Now things get ugly. They still have my vehicle now, for a 3rd week. I have been told there is a part that did not come in the package correctly and they have been trying to get the correct part. I called their parts supplier and they told be that yes there was a part delivered incorrectly but they have received the correct part now. Parts department says no they are still waiting for the part to arrive. Somehow there is no tracking number. 4, 5, 6 days and still no part and no tracking number. Who knows what's really is going on. I will note that parts department was helpful, attentive, and tried their best to accommodate. I have been told my service writer is home sick. The service writer taking her place seems much more attentive the situation. Don't even bother calling the service manager (useless and does not return calls). First thing I will do once I finally get my vehicle back, if that ever happens, is to have it checked out at another dealership not related to Lithia. I recommend anyone do the same. Overall as a customer I would have appreciated more communication, especially after several days go by. Sales department was great and had to get involved but only has so much influence I guess on what goes on back there. - Update 08/12/2021 The service depart got wind of my review and for the first time I hear from their service manager. Wow! Suddenly the part arrived, and it will be ready today. Not once however, did he acknowledge that I was unsatisfied. Just one excuse after another. 'Oh well, we gave you a vehicle to drive while it was being serviced' 'I never got your message,' this that and the other, no shred of responsibility. The vehicle seems to be okay at this time. I don't think their mechanics are bad and it's not really an issue of repair. Mostly as I said customer service and communication was very unsatisfactory. Picking up the vehicle was cordial and polite despite there being an issue which I appreciated. More
