Wanted a great Outback, got a great Outback. In September '15 we (me, spouse, 2 kids) lost our 2001 outback to a collision after less than a year of ownership while living in San Diego. We had pu In September '15 we (me, spouse, 2 kids) lost our 2001 outback to a collision after less than a year of ownership while living in San Diego. We had purchased that car in Oregon and drove it to it's new home in October '14. During the time we had that car we fell in love with Subaru and more specifically the Outback model. We wanted to buy used and we searched high and low all over the Portland-Metro Area, but couldn't find anything that was in the same condition as our '01 for the price we were willing to pay. We realized just how lucky we must have been. A very close friend of ours suggested Lithia of Oregon City, and we've heard of their reputation, so we decided to give them a visit. Dave listened to us and proceeded to show us some cars. Of the four cars he showed us... we ended up buying the first one! He knocked it out of the park! We are moving to Hawai'i and so making sure the car was rust free and in great condition was paramount to us, he worked to get touch-up where needed, some extra cleaning, and a cargo cover... and still he got us a lowered price! Not only that, but Dave stayed until 9pm to make sure we were taken care of, and because we were on a timeline to get back to San Diego they rushed all the work for us. There was a little misunderstanding and one of the areas that needed touch-up got missed when I came to get the car the next day. As I made my final inspection I noticed a section of rust was missed and Val Brown (Semper Fidelis brother!) understood that such details are important in my line of work and made it his mission to get us squared away and on the road ASAP. We were on a tight schedule and couldn't get back to the dealership until the day we were leaving for San Diego. He personally ensured that the body work guy was there and we were front of the line on the day we needed to head home. So, in the end we paid more than what we had originally hoped to for an Outback of the same caliber as our last one. But, my spouse and I agree that we got a great deal on a great car that will last us many years. BTW... they are great with kids! More

I just have to wait another 2 weeks until I can actually drive my new car home, as Subaru just put a stop sale on all 2016 Outbacks until a steering column issue is fixed. But they sent me home with a nice loaner to use until my new car is ready. Lithia Subaru has just topped the list for the best car dealership I have been to and worked with.
