Take your money else where I reached out to the Lithia dealership about a car they had listed online. The point of contact was Georan Churchill. He sent me pictures and a video of the car, as I asked about imperfections. He pointed out one spot on the back bumper. He said that he could have it fixed. He also said the wheels had some curb rash, but they were going to be going into their wheel guy. I told Georan that the car needs to be in great shape/near perfect for me to buy it. He assured me it was in great shape, and I’d be very happy. It also came with 2 year CPO comprehensive warranty which I didn’t see locally. He said he would take it off the market for 1,000.00 refundable deposit and that it went through their inspection process. I pull up to the dealership, and the car was sitting out front. I was told it was just detailed. Upon inspecting the exterior, I noticed two sets of very visible chips on the hood. After looking at the wheels, they had chips in them. Moving to the rear bumper, and I saw the repair job they promised. It looked like a 5 year old took touch up paint and simply painted it. The color did not even match. They didn’t fill the dent in and paint it properly. When looking in the trunk, I found a lot of water in the spare tire compartment. When I turned to look at the roof there was what looked like pine pitch in multiple spots and the paint around/underneath appeared damaged. Inside of the car, there was what looked like foot prints on the back of the seats (not a big deal but it had just been detailed). On the rear passenger side door the trim was damaged. The rear seat was not snapped in. The car was missing the MDI cable which is necessary for connecting my phone. On the front dash there was large white scratch right in front of the instrument panel. Mitch, who I was told to ask for when arriving since Georan only does online sales, came for the test drive. Out on the test drive I pressed on the brakes, and I felt terrible shaking. The rotors were warped even though they later showed me the inspection report which said they were fine. Mitch realizing that I’m not very happy about being told the car is “perfect” and driving 3.5 hours to find out it is anything but perfect. Mitch said he would talk to his sales manager who I believe his name was Caleb (not 100% certain on his name). When I confronted Caleb about the rotors being warped, he argued with me and said they were fine, so I asked him to take a test drive. When he came back, he finally admitted there was an issue. The sales manager says if I take 75.00 off, do we have a deal? I laugh and told him the hood and the back bumper would need to be fixed. When it seemed like we were not going to come to a resolution I said I would just like the deposit back and we would get on our way. Caleb then says, “if we take 750.00 off, would that work for you?” It seemed like Caleb was just playing games, so I said no and that I’d like the refund back, and we would get back on our way. Over all my problems with this dealership is that Georan said the car was in great shape but was anything but! Georan wasted our time (9 hours), cost of car rental and gas. I tried to give them the opportunity to make it right afterwards, but Georan stopped responding to my emails and texts. I’d take your money elsewhere, if nothing else not work with Georan or Caleb. More
