It was past closing time so I understand, but that wasn’t my fault. The customers in front of me took forever. Wish I would have gotten more for my trade in , but that kind of stuff is common. Multiple inquiries into my credit occurred though, which I get was unnecessary. That negatively effected my credit score. Very nice dealership inside though with decent amenities. Overall decent experience with the exceptions of the rushed paperwork and credit inquiries. More

Not a fan so far Went in for my first scheduled oil change since I bought into the oil changes for life package on my car. Schedule was 3 weeks out, that's most dealerships, but in addition to a 45+ minute wait first thing in the morning, I'm already considering forgoing the value for a small oil change shop. The rep who talked to me offered additional services which is normal, but offered a nitro tire fill, even though I have green stem caps on. I bought the caps because I was told by the sales rep that they already had nitro in them, and had it refilled since then. Between the car allegedly being sold with it and now I have green caps, I don't know why it would have been offered. The worst part was that I could see my car get parked outside, and it sat there for 5-10 minutes while I stood near the service desk waiting for the rep to come back. I'm disappointed to say the least. More

routine service I frequent VW of DSM for my oil changes in my cars. While I was in this time for an oil change, I had them change the fuel filter due to the weather I frequent VW of DSM for my oil changes in my cars. While I was in this time for an oil change, I had them change the fuel filter due to the weather getting colder. I typically do all the maintenance on my own cars, but with the purchased for life oil changes I have that done at the dealership. Cheyenne was quick and prompt to get me in and out. The service was completed in a very timey manner and was promptly notified when done. After picking my car up and getting home, when I exited my car I could smell fuel. I popped the hood to notice that the fuel filter housing was covered in fuel, passenger side inner fender, belt drive area, and lower engine cover all had fuel on them. I grabbed some brake-clean and rags. I cleaned the area then test drove the car. The filter housing was not leaking, it was not cleaned after servicing. For the hour of labor I was charged to change the fuel filter (actual 30 min task), I shouldn't have to clean up spilled fuel in the engine bay. I am in no way unpleased with the work done, just being honest. More

When we test drove the car the gas light came on ( no biggie ) we ended up buying the car and it was late by the time we got all of the paperwork done. Thank goodness there is a gas station across the street! No gas in the Passat when we drove off the lot. Before we drove off I noticed there were no floor mats. Trey said he would order them. After several texts and call to Trey we finally got them. Along with not having floor mats the first aid kit was missing also. I know this seems petty but I paid for it it was on the sticker of the car. I have talked to Trey, Brandon, Scott, and the finance guy several times. I have been told everything from we will have to order it to it’s in the parts department to we will just take one from another car to the manager is taking care of it. It is know December 11th and I have yet to see or here from anyone. I guess even though I have paid for the first aid kit I just figured im not going to receive it. The next thing is we have had to redo the paperwork 4 time now. What’s irritating is all of the trips back to the dealership we have made due to the poor communication and what seems like the lack of knowledge of all of the papers we signed. If l could change the first review I definitely would. Like I said at the beginning we love the Passat but this whole car buying experience at VW of Des Moines was not a good one! I would recommend buying a VW but not from this dealership. Thanks Jeff More

I feel like customer #1 I purchased two manual transmission, diesel golf's and had them serviced at this dealer since 2005. My 2010 model still feels like new to me- especial I purchased two manual transmission, diesel golf's and had them serviced at this dealer since 2005. My 2010 model still feels like new to me- especially each time I get it back from being serviced here. I know my car better since the service department does such a great job explaining everything that comes up. The parts department is always super helpful with little items as well. The shuttle service is awesome and I don't miss beat from my schedule on days when I take my car in for service. My last few visits were just for factory recall updates and oil changes (I have lifetime oil package) so nothing out of pocket for these last couple visits but still get amazing service! More
