Very disappointed with the service I received from Lokey Kia service. While out of town I brought my 2022 Kia Sorento in for an urgent service. I was told that I would receive a call when the vehicle was l Kia service. While out of town I brought my 2022 Kia Sorento in for an urgent service. I was told that I would receive a call when the vehicle was looked at and when they knew what repairs would be needed. Instead I received a text message saying I would need a new radiator and that even though it was a 2022 they were not doing this as a warranty but that I needed to approve the $1500+ charge via text. The service department was extremely difficult to reach on the phone to discuss the issues they wanted approved over a text message. After calling 5+ times I was able to reach someone who said that basically a “rock” caused the damage and that I needed to go through my auto insurance. I needed to get a few things out of the car since I needed to get back to work and when I was there I was told by another service advisor the damage was done by a bug. At that point I requested pictures to be sent to me and it took more than 3 days to get those pictures. My local dealership called down and they were told that it was a rock that did the damage. Having no choice but getter a new radiator I paid cash for the radiator. But the problems didn’t stop with the new radiator. I ended up stopping half way home between Clearwater and North Florida and notice a smell coming from the car. Upon checking the coolant reservoir there was less the recommend amount of coolant in the tank. I reached out to Lokey and they said I could turn around and let them look at the car again and have more fluids put in. I was able to take the slower back roads and made it to my local shop who was able to add fluids at no charge for me. I would not recommend Lokey Kia to anyone needing their car serviced for urgent or routine needs. More
