Blatant Lies While I was shopping around for a new car, I was given an extremely low quote from this dealer. Suspicious, I asked several times what extra fees or c While I was shopping around for a new car, I was given an extremely low quote from this dealer. Suspicious, I asked several times what extra fees or charges were not included that might be added on later, but was assured that the quote was legit and all that was missing was tax, title, and tag. Then, when it came time to sign papers, suddenly a strange $1600 "location fee" popped up. As soon as I was able to rid of that, another $1600 for "accessories" appeared (these accessories amounted to little more than carpet mats and detailing...I've seen similar packages from other dealers for around $400). These were the exact type of fees I was asking them to disclose, and they intentionally decided not to. They flat out lied. I am hoping this was some sort of mistake, but my sense is that they were trying to get me in the door by undercutting every other dealer, and then make that money back in bogus fees and charges. That is manipulative, shady, and dishonest. I find this, on its own, to be enough to warrant a one star rating. But what really bothers me is the blatant lying. Because of this, Lugoff Toyota has lost my business for life. I would highly recommend that others doing business here be weary of everything this dealer tells you. More
