We ended up with a car, and it went OK I guess? We walked in the door and were greeted right away by an eager salesperson, "Country". He showed us a 2008 Prius, which we did end up biting the bullet We walked in the door and were greeted right away by an eager salesperson, "Country". He showed us a 2008 Prius, which we did end up biting the bullet on. However, he didn't seem super knowledgeable about the car, and had a hard time answering our questions about it- like, how old are the tires? What should we expect to have to repair next on this age of a car? He also seemed more interested in showing us photos of his kids rather than letting us drive the conversation and ask questions. In finance, our loan was handled by Keith. He talked a lot, but mostly about how he was trying to get us a deal, and no so much about the details of the deal. It was hard getting a word in to ask about what the terms of our loan would be. I was a little annoyed with how he didn't allow us to ask questions and he seemed to be more interested in the sound of his own voice than in our concerns. We felt a little like the wool was being pulled over our eyes. We like the car we were given but are now discovering that it makes some strange noises- perhaps noises we would have heard if our sales person would have just stopped talking and let us listen to the car while we were driving it? We may be taking the car back to see what they can do with our 30 day warranty. We'll see what our mechanic says... to be continued. More
