FIX MALFUNCTION P0406 CODE LIGHT I CALLED THE BROOKDALE DODGE DEALERSHIP THAT MALFUNCTION LIGHT WAS ON WITH A CODE OF P0406. I ASKED WHAT THE ESTIMATED COST WOULD BE TO FIX IT. AFTER WAITING FOR AN HOUR AT THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS TOLD THAT THE COST TO FIX IT WOULD BE $540 AND THAT I NEEDED TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $65 FOR THEIR EVALUATION. AFTER CHECKING WITH OTHER SERVICE DEPTS, I WAS GIVEN AN AVERAGE OF Labor: $67 - $85 & Parts: $41 - $55. WOW, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THESE GUYS AGAIN, TO BUY A CAR OR SERVICE ONE. More

Great Service Brought my Jeep in for a routine oil change and to check on the origin of an unidentified warning ping. There was not a warning light associated with the "ping" (same sound as the seat belt indicator and the low fuel indicator). The Tech identified the cause of the warning and corrected it within five minutes and at no extra charge since an electrical diagnostic was no longer required.
