Luther Brookdale Toyota - Service Center

I had my vehicle engine light come on. The dealer got my vehicle in right away and withing a few hours had called me with the correct diagnosis. The OEM parts cost twice as much as aftermarket. The service person could not send me the quote on the proposed work, but discussed it over the phone. I though the lack of ability to electronically send me the proposal for $2700+ was odd, since other auto repair shops sent me quotes the next day. The service person followed up with me the next night to find out if I wanted the dealer to fix it or not. More

As always, Luther Toyota came through. The 12-volt battery on my Prius died, on a -10 degree day. Once I got a jump, they took me without an appointment and had me back on my way within 1.5 hours. This was my first experience with the service center. I was getting my heated seats and my FOB put into my car. The service that was done on my car was great. The customer service was poor. I never received a call telling me when my car would be done. It was supposed to be finished the day I dropped it off; however, nobody bothered to call me to tell me that the car wasn't finished. I called at 5:30 and was told that everyone had left for the day and someone would call me first thing in the morning with an update. Around1:00 p.m. I called again since nobody had contacted me. They said they weren't finished, but would call later. When I did pick up my car, nobody could show me how to use my electric start and nobody knew where the manual was for my new features. Someone said he would take a look and try to find them and send them to me. I am guessing I will never get them. Not sure if I will go back as this was an unpleasant experience. More

Our family has been going to the service department at the Toyota dealer in Brooklyn Center for more than 20 years. EVERY time we get service on our cars, the guys in the service department are BEYOND EX the Toyota dealer in Brooklyn Center for more than 20 years. EVERY time we get service on our cars, the guys in the service department are BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL! They are very professional and explain everything before the work is done. As a woman who knows little about cars, I appreciate the way in which they explain the work that needs to be done and how long it will take. I have never felt "put down" for not knowing something about what needs to be done on my car. We have recommended so many of our friends and family to get their cars serviced at this particular dealership and they are just as satisfied as we have been for years! We have also purchased all of our cars from this dealership BECAUSE the service department is so exceptional! Keep up the great customer service guys! More
