Really bad ... and really good My trunk wouldn't stay up on my 2017 Fusion Energi. After and hour in the Luther Family Ford shop, I was told that a bracket in the trunk area that w My trunk wouldn't stay up on my 2017 Fusion Energi. After and hour in the Luther Family Ford shop, I was told that a bracket in the trunk area that was responsible for lifting the trunk was broken, that the car would have to be taken to their body shop for repair, and that it likely would not be covered under warranty (39,000 miles, less then three years old and purchased Ford extended warranty). When I protested, Terry, the service advisor suggested we talk to Brad, the service manager. Brad made a point of personally looking at the "broken bracket" and announced that nothing was broken, a spring had just come loose from a hook. it wasn't an easy task, and it took him about a half hour or prying, pinching and looking at the other side of the trunk for comparison but Brad eventually got it fixed - at no cost to me. I shudder to think of what the outcome would have been if I hadn't protested and had them take it to the body shop. My question: why did the service technician misdiagnose the problem, and why wasn't it checked before my involvement. Overall, I don't know what to think of my experience. I do know that I am glad that Brad, the service manager, was around. More
Oil change -- and low tire pressure light on (again!!) My "low tire pressure" light "just happened" to come on as I was headed to the dentist and then to get my oil changed!
