The issue is not really about communication or transparency, but rather the Luther approach to upselling customers on unnecessary services. At 8K miles on a brand-new vehicle, the first oil/filter change and tire rotation should not cost $235. This is double what I would expect to pay and is not what the factory maintenance schedule calls for. It's also double what I am paying to service my wife's Toyota. I've been a lifelong Toyota owner and have had my servicing done at IGH Toyota. They are really good about recommending only what's called for at each interval. I went with the Kia Niro this time because Toyota didn't have a similar option. I just hope I don't regret going with the Kia brand when it comes to servicing.
