This was the easiest, most hassle free car buying I have ever experienced. Bobby returned every call quickly, followed up with the progress timely since I was buying from out of state. Was working with another VW dealership at the same time while deciding which car I wanted and they could not come close to the service I received from Bobby and Luther Westside. Doubt I will buy another VW elsewhere from now on. There are delays when buying from out of state but had nothing to do with them. I may just fly up next time and drive it home. More

This was the first time buying a car out of state and having it shipped. Bobby was very accommodating and friendly. We finally have the car and absolutely love it so far. To offer some constructive criticism, as you know regulations vary from state to state. I was trying very hard to explain what I needed in order to register and insure the vehicle in Mass before it arrived. If the timeline for getting the title and other paperwork was communicated upfront, it would have saved a lot of stress. The registries are not operating at full capacity due to Covid and getting an appt and re arranging work schedules was a bit stressful. Also, it’s a bit intimidating to hand over 35k in cash with nothing to show for it. All original paperwork was mailed back to dealership. Not to mention, the automated surveys asking me how I liked my car.. eek. Probably shouldn’t send those to out of state buyers until they have their car. The shipping process took a lot longer than expected.. a reasonable amount of time but longer than quoted before purchase and I didn’t really understand the process until it was just about over. I know you couldn’t possibly know every state guidelines but if the process was explained and understood things would have been much smoother. For example; you mail back check, paperwork, it takes x amount of days to clear, x amount of days to title, and you should expect documents on x day. At no time did I ever think it would take two weeks to ship… if the shipping process and potential timeline was explained upfront more clearly.. expectations would have been tempered and the whole process much more enjoyable.
