I loved that car to bad VW discontinued the hybrid. I will still have that car if not for a deer. Which brings me to my new 2018 Golf. everyone was great to work with from Bobby to the finance guy. One other thing with my 2 previous car the service department was great to work with when I needed them. More

Disappointed I took my car in to have the oil changed, the tires rotated. About 5 to 7 days after that, we started noticing a howling noise from the engine compart I took my car in to have the oil changed, the tires rotated. About 5 to 7 days after that, we started noticing a howling noise from the engine compartment at around 50 to 60 mph that got faster as we accelerated and slow down when decelerating. Within a couple more days the noise got louder. I took the car in to Westside VW. The gentleman I spoke to (I did not catch his name) was very cordial and took the time to go with me for a drive so that he could verify the noise; he did and I made an appointment to drop off the car. Lynn, a real nice lady, took my information when I dropped the car off. Something that, in retrospective, should have caught my attention was that I was told about a tires special when my car only had just over 27K. The following day I called Lynn who informed me that they had (1) rotated the tires back (to the position they were when I took the car in the week before) and they could not hear the humming noise and (2) they found a nail in one of my tires, that it was on the side wall and not reparable, that given the millage on the tires and their uneven wear I should replace all 4 tires. I said no and picked up the car the following morning. I was charged about $28.00 for undoing the rotation they have just done. I found it hard to believe that the solution to the humming noise, the reason I took the car in a 2nd time was to get the tires in their original position; what about rotating the tires every 5K miles? I took the car somewhere else where they determined the car was out of alignment, they did not find a nail in any of the tires. The cars now is not making the humming sound and driving/handling really well. I guess I am disappointed about the situation, but it is the closest VW dealer to my home and place employment, which makes it easy to get someone to get a friend/coworker to pick me up without causing them too much trouble, so I will try the dealer again before loosing all my faith and going somewhere else.
