False battery test and unreplaced parts Brought 2016 Pilot in for regular maintenance. This was first maintenance after warranty expired. Was told I needed a new battery and quoted a price f Brought 2016 Pilot in for regular maintenance. This was first maintenance after warranty expired. Was told I needed a new battery and quoted a price for a bigger, stronger battery than needed for my model. I declined and had battery tested elsewhere. It tested 100% (as I would expect for a 3 y.o. car). When I opened the hood for the second test, a screw that had been removed at the dealer to get to the battery for first battery test, was left lying next to the hole it should have been in. Additionally, my front tires were thin and had to be replaced. I was told by 2 separate auto and tire professionals that the wear indicated that the tires showed wear consistent with not having been rotated on schedule. I found this odd since I'd been going into Maita for regular maintenance the entire time my car was under warranty and the tire rotation was supposed to be part of the regular service...with other issues on this most recent visit, have to wonder if, in fact, the tire rotation had been done on previous visits. Gave two stars as I had been happy with service at Maita until this rather disappointing visit and they remain courteous and expedient in the service department. More
