Stick to your guns This was the first time that I ever bought a car online. It was pretty painless and quick. Emails back and forth were minimal. Once I found the car I wanted I made an offer-which of course was not accepted. Got the traditional sob story about how they wanted to sell the car but didn't want to lose money on it. The car was a new 2018 but this was November and the '19 models were already on the lot, so I knew that this car was costing the dealer $$$ everyday. The car was also manual transmission which most buyers don't want and so harder to sell. I made another offer and it was accepted. Filled out all the paperwork online so it was pretty much 2 hrs. at the dealership and I had the car. While I was in the finance office they detailed the car and filled the tank. My advice is know what you are willing to pay, stick to that price and be ready to walk away if it can't be met. There are always other dealers to go to-the dealer needs you more than you need them.
