Update as of Friday, January 3, 2020: (not a great start to the New Year) Please read this review in its entirety. This is the worst experience I have ever had a Ford Dealership. I do not think this is a Ford Motor Company issue, just a Mall of Georgia Ford problem and therefore I would highly recommend you visit the many other Ford Dealerships in the Greater Atlanta Market. As I stated earlier in my first review, all of my last 6 vehicle have been Fords and purchased from Ford Dealers and with Ford Financing. (2 Ford Explorers, 1 Ford Fiesta, 1 Ford Fusion, 1 Ford Escape and 1 Ford Mustang). Until now, our experience has always been very positive at the other Ford Dealerships. Worth mentioning, Kevin Farmer, the Finance Manager, was professional, respectful and humorous. Other than this gentleman, the other associates of Mall of Georgia Ford (that we have come into contact with) have been devious and condescending. We did receive a call back from Leo Bond the Salesman who sold us the vehicle...but only after we posted this review online. He said he was going to pay for the scratch on the hood with his own money. We were happy to hear that, until he finished his statement, which was since we posted this review online, he was now not going to pay to fix the scratch due to the review posted on this website. We then received a call from Dennis the newest Sales Manager (unknown last name as he is not on their website for Staff Members) and he said he would fix the scratch if I signed a letter stating we would remove the original review and not post any other reviews about Mall of Georgia Ford ever again. So, to get our car fix, we agreed to do so. However, we were never presented with any letter of agreement to sign and therefore, never signed any letter of agreement. This is important, as this agreement becomes another point of deception by the Mall of Georgia Team later in this review. We received a call from Sterling Oliver, the Service Director, to bring in our Ford Mustang to repair the scratch on the hood. It was a very small scratch and should have been a very easy repair for any of their service representatives/technicians in the body shop. Again, something simple turned into a larger problem when we went to retrieve the Ford Mustang. The repair to the scratch looked like something a 5 year old would have done in art class. The repair was more noticeable than the original scratch and the paint was blotchy, uneven, lumpy and bumpy too. Now very obvious to the naked eye. We contacted Sterling Oliver on Friday, January 3, 2020 and he said this was the best they could do given the paperwork we signed (we signed nothing) and he would contact Dennis in the Sales Department and get back to me on Monday, January 6, 2020. I asked if Dennis was in on Friday, January 3, 2020 and he said yes. So, I then asked why it would take until Monday of the next week to get a response. He didn't have an answer and said he would call me back today. Then, it hit me, he said he had paperwork there which we signed with Leo Bond our Salesman stating we agreed to the repairs and the removal of the original review. I told Sterling Oliver, Service Director, I had signed nothing and he stated again he had the paperwork with my signature on it. I then said this is even worse now, someone there at the Mall of Georgia Ford has "forged" my signature. I was in complete shock to say the very least. Later that day, I received a call from Matthew Gettys, General Sales Manager, from the Mall of Georgia Ford. He was by far the most arrogant and condescending individual we have ever dealt with at any dealership...Ford or other dealers for that matter. He already had a script ready to go when he telephoned me and constantly interrupted me and talked over me during our very brief conversation. He said that the work was completed by their professionals in the body shop and that was the best they could or were going to do. To be honest, I said if these professionals were working for me, I would fire them immediately, as this is the worst vehicle paint repair I had ever seen in my 48 years of life. He then said I wish you a Happy New Year and hung up on me. My wife then called back to speak to the General Manager of the Mall of Georgia Ford and was routed to Matthew Gettys, the General Sales Manager, not the General Manager. When she asked to speak to the General Manager, Jeffrey Wessels, she was told that he had given Matthew Gettys the empowerment to handle our dissatisfaction with the repair work and that Matthew Gettys' decision would be final. Hence, my wife asked to be transferred to Mr. Jeffrey Wessels and was then told he was in a meeting. She asked to be connected to his voicemail and they said he does not have a voicemail. This seems weird in today's time of technological advances. So she had to leave a message with the Customer Service Desk. Hopefully, we will hear back from the General Manager soon and be able to update you on our current displeasure with the Mall of Georgia Ford. We are not optimistic that they will do the promised repairs, but I will keep you updated. My next review will be with the Better Business Bureau. I am not one to write reviews, as I think most individuals will do the right thing when all of the facts are presented. This is a one off for me, as I have never experienced this type of attitude. As of now, they truly seem to not care about their customers. Current and future in my humble opinion.
