This is a sketchy dealership that has not been honest when advertising the vehicle I came Into purchase. Online add claimed it had no accidents and upon demanding the CARFAX report, the vehicle had 1 accident rated as moderate damage. I was reassured the car had been repaired, inspected and in excellent condition. I purchased the vehicle and was told to come back and pick up the vehicle later that evening once it was washed. I returned and the vehicle did not start. I was told it was a know issue and that the car alarm had been going off and the interior battery was one. They assured me it would be repaired, gave me a loaner for the night and to return the next day. I arrived the next day and again tried to start the car and again it would not start. At this time I was told that there was a back gate sensor that was malfunctioning causing the back gate alarm to drain the battery, and that was the actual problem vice the interior light. I came back that evening and again the car did not start. They called their emergency mechanic and I watched him replace the battery. Upon further inspection I noticed the after market head lights that were working when I purchased the vehicle, we’re just dangling and disconnected along with the call button on the steering was now missing. The emergency mechanic stated the original set up was improperly connected and decided to disconnect. I stated that they worked when I purchased the vehicle and the lights and the button needed to be fixed before I would take it off the lot. I returned home with the loaner. I purchased the vehicle on the 19 Oct 21, I was never called or updated on my car, I finally called 4 days later after demanding to speak to the GM. I was transferred to his line multiple time, in which he was either “out” of the office and his voicemail inbox was full and did not accept messages. I repeatedly called and asked for the gsm. Once I explained my issues and concerns, he stated he was sorry and not aware of the issues I had experienced. I asked to be compensated and wanted an update on my vehicle. He offered me a 6 month, 6000 mile extended warranty and assured me that my car was being serviced by Dodge (since I purchased a Jeep Wrangler and this was a Ford dealership) I would be contacted when my vehicle was done. I was not contacted, I called and was told it was back and “everything” was perfect. It is now 26 Oct 21 and this is now my 4th trip to the dealership. I arrived, by my request my purchased contract was reset to 26 Oct, mileage adjusted and warranty to match. I drove off the lot. Got home and when I went to turn the vehicle the next morning, the car was dead. I had to call AAA for service. Report stated the battery was dead. I called Malloy Ford again. I was told to bring in the car. Brought the car back and from driving a total of 20 miles to my home and to the dealership, the check engine light came on. Told the dealership and they replied they would take it back to “Dodge” to get a transmission diagnostic. I was driven to hertz to pick up a dealership paid rental until my car was repaired on 27 Oct 21. I was contacted in 1 November and told I had to return the rental or I would be charged. No update on my vehicle. I was surprised l, because the day prior, I contacted the dealership inquiring about my car and the state of the rental and told everything was fine and the rental was extended. Within 25 hours I was called and told of I didn’t return it, I would be charged. I complained due the evening call stating I needed to return it and pick up another loaner. I demanded they come to me to exchange vehicles. They did and it is now 3 November and still no car. I called again to speak to the GM, left several messages with their receptionist, but was not contacted. I then called the sales manager and was told my car was fixed, but the wanted to keep it on the lot to ensure they verified all repairs were made and everything was in working order. I asked for a full service report from “dodge” before I picked up the vehicle and for my warranty to be reset or I wanted a refund. The sales manager agreed, then disclosed that the actual mechanic that did the initial work was from a nearby gas station service center and he would ensure all RO paperwork was provided when the car was ready. He also claimed he would drive it home to ensure the car was in good working order before having me pick it up. That was 3 November, no call back on 4 November and no one was reachable after being transferred over 3 times. Today is 5 November and I still don’t have the vehicle. I have demanded my money back and consistently assured the car is safe and will be fixed. Lastly, I was charged for the rental despite being told the dealership would pay. Needless to say I still have no vehicle and resolution. I reported this to the Virginia department of motor vehicles and lemon law site. I’m joe in the process of seeking legal counsel. Worst car buying experience of my life. Do not purchase your car from this dealership. Salesperson and management are shady and the customer service is absolutely horrible. I was treated like a problem vise a priority due to a vehicle they sold me. I am a single mother with 25 years of military service and by no means a rookie when it comes to purchasing a car. This is absolutely ridiculous and nothing has been done by management to rectify or compensate me for my time and out of pocket expenses.
