Hello ___________ On behalf of DeCormier Nissan, I would like to express our understanding of the frustration you're experiencing with your vehicle. With that said, our dealership would like to go over the situation as well as possible solutions and/or help to relieve your current situation. You brought your vehicle in on 11/24/15 for a warranty repair, (solenoid), which we performed. The picked up the car after that warranty repair was completed. On 12/1/15 your car was towed back into the dealership with a no start issue. We brought the car into service and did a full diagnosis. The mechanic observed heat damage, (melted plastic), on the back of the fuse box. The wiring had been cut into by someone who installed an aftermarket satellite radio. The mechanic determined that the car would need a new wiring harness. At that point, you decided you did not want us to repair the car and chose to have it towed from our dealership. We charged $116.99 for a diagnosis charge, and for no additional charge, we gave the customer a rental car for a day. Because your car was towed away, it was very difficult for us to debate what had transpired with your vehicle. At the same time, we also trusted your instincts to have your friend who had mechanic experience fix the car. While we would never downplay your friends' expertise in the mechanical field, we cannot comment or debate what your friend either found or didn't find with the vehicle. If you had sought out a 2nd opinion from another dealer, and received a full diagnosis report, then we could have compared and discussed any discrepancies that may have existed between our diagnosis and the dealer that gave the 2nd opinion, however this was not the case. While you have only paid a total of $116.99 and the rental car was included as our way of assisting the situation, we would be happy to uphold our agreement of paying %50 of any costs incurred to you as long as you can provide the receipts. While we understand the situation is frustrating, DeCormier Nissan takes great pride in assisting and helping in this situation, regardless of how little our dealership was involved and communicated with. Our offer still stands and we hope to hear from you soon. As a family owned business, we take great pride in applying our values to exceed the expectations of our customers. You can bring in your receipts any time and we would be happy to help. -DeCormier Nissan

This customer did purchase a vehicle from DeCormier Nissan on 06/10/2014 with 38,074 miles however, they did not return with any complaints or for any kind of service until 08/27/2015 with 48,904 miles, almost 11,000 miles later, with a complaint of brake noise. DeCormier Nissan found the front brake rotor was scored and overheated and the rear brake shoes are worn and rear brake drums have heat spots due to overheating. Also found front tires worn appears to be because of lack of rotation but again it is hard to determine due to having no maintenance records on this vehicle after purchase. DeCormier Nissan stands firm that we sold this customer a quality pre-owned vehicle that was well above minimum specifications for operation which is evident considering this customer did not return with any complaints for well over one year and over 10,000 miles. DeCormier Nissan always has and will continue to strive to provide the highest quality used vehicles and services to all our customers.

In response to the negative review by "Pathfinder", we at DeCormier Nissan will simply say that it seems to be obvious that the issue is not with the dealership but with the evident need of the individual who wrote this review to slander people in general. DeCormier Nissan remains neutral in this situation; as we have always attempted to do throughout the entire length of our business.

We were not the selling dealership of the vehicle. The vehicle was brought to us prior to the sale by the selling dealer for a safety inspection. We performed a full pre-sale safety inspection of the vehicle and had addressed the issues the vehicle had. The GT-R is made from aluminum and carbon fiber which does not rust. Matt DeCormier did not sign off on the evaluation, as he does not work in service. Our technician who is also named Matt signed off on it. We have contacted the selling dealer regarding the buyers complaint and it was brought to our attention that the dealer offered the customer a FULL 100% refund on the car if he was not happy. The selling dealership had no problem taking the vehicle back and giving the customer back all of his money. Customer rejected his offer and said that he wants to keep the vehicle.

Dear Mr. Graves, After reviewing your repair order and your complaint listed with our service advisor you stated, "Customer states trunk sometimes opens and sometimes not, sometimes opens then slams shut." I'm a little confused about your statement that when you brought the vehicle to our dealership the trunk would open automatically but would not stay open. When we recieved the vehicle the trunk lock would release but the hatch would not open, and once our technician did get the hatch open it would then slam shut, however our technician had to use manual release in order to get hatch open. we then found the hatch struts were leaking and unable to hold hatch open and replaced both hatch struts at no extra labor charge negating the additional 15 minutes that you claim you had remaining of the initial hour of labor quoted after utilizing 45 minutes to get hatch open and diagnose fault why hatch would slam shut. We had to start by replacing the leaking hatch struts in order to properly inspect auto open feature. After replacing hatch struts we found there was also a failure with auto open feature and considering that we had already utilized the initial hour labor and then some, we did ask for authorization for additional diagnostic time to inspect addtional failure. I can assure that we do not conduct our business as you referenced by saying that "They were just trying to get more money out of me." As far as the way we installed the hatch struts they can only be installed one way. In reference to "recomended services" it is our responsibility as a dealership to inform our customers if their vehicle is in need of any other maintaince or repairs no matter when or where they purchased the vehicle and this vehicle was not bought here or the items recomended would have been done prior to the sale. Thanks, Jon (Shop Foreman)
