I compared two area Honda dealers for vehicles that were equipped alike, and MH offered more car for a lower price. After totaling a Mazda a few weeks ago, I was in a pinch to buy a car before my insurance company stopped paying for my rental vehicle. I had been looking at used Hondas online for several days and on a whi to buy a car before my insurance company stopped paying for my rental vehicle. I had been looking at used Hondas online for several days and on a whim decided to swing by Manchester Honda one night after work. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by the lady at the main desk. The place felt instantly welcoming and warm - much unlike the typical car dealership. As luck would have it, TJ was the first salesperson to approach me. I explained to him that I was there to check out a few Civics I had seen on their website and he went right to work, looking to make sure they hadn't been sold. As it turned out, only one of the three was still available. I took it for a test drive with TJ and though I loved the car already, I told him I needed to think about it for a day or two before making any decision. I was so thankful that TJ didn't go into the typical car dealer mode of "Well, what can we do to make you purchase it today?" or "Well, what else can I show you before you leave?" He simply understood and respected that I wasn't ready to make a purchase that night and didn't pressure me into staying to look at vehicles way above my price range. I knew then that TJ wasn't just another run-of-the-mill car salesman and that Manchester Honda wasn't your average dearlership. TJ made the car buying experience enjoyable, which is something you don't hear too many people say. I had only been through the process once before and I was seriously dreading having to do it again. Right away, though, I could tell that this experience was going to be different and I felt like TJ was really there to help me; I wasn't just another shmuck for him to make a commission off of. I think this is due in large part to Manchester Honda's "Plain & Simple" pricing and the fact that I knew up front that there would be no haggling. While some may be initially put off by this, I must say that it makes the whole process much more relaxing and far less intimidating than the typical car buying experience. In fact, after going to another local Honda dealership, it was the "Plain & Simple" approach that brought me back to Manchester Honda. There really was no comparison between the two places - the whole time I was at the other dealership all I could think was, "I want to be back at Manchester working with TJ." I actually ended up calling TJ from the parking lot of the other dealer and asked him if I could come by to look at the car again in about 20 minutes. Despite it being nearly time for them to close, TJ didn't hesitate - he told me to come on over. That night I put down the deposit on my car and got the finance paperwork started, staying well past their closing time. The entire process was unbelievably smooth and not stressful in the least. It was four days from the time I first looked at the Civic to the afternoon I picked it up. I was worried that I wouldn't get approved for financing but Brian, one of the business managers, did everything he could to get it done and I ended up getting a great rate. Despite my credit not being perfect, he never made me feel like I wasn't going to get approved or that I was crazy for even trying. Brian was determined to get me the rate I wanted and that is exactly what he did. If you couldn't already tell, I had a wonderful experience at Manchester Honda and I would without hesitation reccomend it to anyone looking for a vehicle. It's such a welcoming, pressure-free place that I seriously wouldn't mind just hanging out there in my free time - that's how friendly the atmosphere is. Plus, the folks working there are the type of people you'd want to kick back and hang out with. They all have your best interest in mind and are there to do whatever you need of them in order to make your time there as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. When it's time to trade in my Civic for something else down the road, I know I'll be calling up TJ at Manchester Honda... it's that plain and simple. More
