A Very Long Wait for an Oil Change. I arrived at Manly Honda for 85,000 mi. Oil Change on my 2004 Civic ( where I've had all my service done since purcasing the car there 15 years ago I arrived at Manly Honda for 85,000 mi. Oil Change on my 2004 Civic ( where I've had all my service done since purcasing the car there 15 years ago ) 20 minutes early for my 1:30 appt. I was told that the oil change would take 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Manly Honda had, for years, offered free shuttles to such places as Kaiser Medical Center and shopping centers, but I now found that they no longer provided this servce, so I was stuck waiting there. From the waiting area I could see that my car didn't enter the service bays area until nearly 2:15. Hours went by, and after I'd been waiting 3 hours since my arrival, I ventured up to service desk to inquire about status of my oil change; there, I saw my car keys sitting, for how long I don't know. I found that yes, my car was now ready for pick up, and, incidentally, I needed to replace the air filter. I dont know why no one had come to me in the waiting area to tell me that, so that I could have chosen to have that replacement made then and there, because I'd seen other waiting customers conferring with Service People regarding work needed for their cars, and that left me feeling neglected. Also, there is absolutely no where to eat within walking distance of "Auto Row", so my unexpectedly long wait left me hungry and a bit irritated. Although Manly did offer gooey cookies, coffee and tea, that is hardly an adequate or healthy menu for many of us, but admittedly better than nothing. So, all in all, a frustrating and less than totally satisfying experience. More

Excellent service even without appointment I frequent Manly Honda as it is my primary service center for my 2007 Honda Civic. I usually interact with Bill Robertson when I have a scheduled app I frequent Manly Honda as it is my primary service center for my 2007 Honda Civic. I usually interact with Bill Robertson when I have a scheduled appointment, but today (6/24/2019) I was given Jose Rocha. He was very kind in helping me get my Civic (which had spontaneously begun to refuse to start) into the service center. There was a substantial wait, but that is the nature of getting a service without an appointment and I am completely satisfied with the departments ability to work me in. Jennifer in the rental department was very helpful as well. She was able to answer any question I had and was very prompt in setting me up with a rental car. I was very pleased with my experience. I would also like to mention the woman who was overseeing guest checkins was doing an outstanding job facilitating pairing guests with service representatives. Although I do not remember her name. Excellent service. The only thing you guys use to have a shuttle. I think you need to bring it back and not charge people to return home while waiting on their service. Prompt Warranty Work Took our Civic in for routine oil change, air bag light had been stuck on. They checked it out and diagnosed the issue and it was covered under warra Took our Civic in for routine oil change, air bag light had been stuck on. They checked it out and diagnosed the issue and it was covered under warranty. The part had to be ordered as they are vehicle specific. Jonathan set up a follow up appointment after the part would be received. This service was for the warranty replacement. The car was fixed promptly within the time frame indicated and everyone I dealt with at Manly was very pleasant. More
Not a good start Mark Winkler was wonderful. He thankfully caught the fact that my 2005 Honda with 152,000k miles on it had never had it's spark plugs changed in spit Mark Winkler was wonderful. He thankfully caught the fact that my 2005 Honda with 152,000k miles on it had never had it's spark plugs changed in spite of having had my car serviced here at Manly every 5-7K miles since we bought it new from Manly. Mark was very professional and informative of questions I had. I could not have asked for better service from him. However, I have to say I was VERY disappointed in the wait time for my appt. It seems to me that Manly is over scheduling service apps. I heard a few people besides me a little irritated with the wait. I also feel sorry for the mechanics trying to keep up with the amount of vehicles they service each day. I will be back to hopefully have a better experience next time otherwise I will be going to another Honda service center. More
