Our purchase went well until we felt ambushed when it came time to sign the sales contract and were pressured by a financial manager (not our salesperson) to decide right then about what would be several different and substantial service contract additions to the sale. Minimal assistance from service dept My Volvo had to be towed in due to stalling for unknown reason. They said it would be 2-3 days before they could get to it. I asked about a loaner c My Volvo had to be towed in due to stalling for unknown reason. They said it would be 2-3 days before they could get to it. I asked about a loaner car. They said they can't give out loaners until the problem is diagnosed, which they wouldn't do for 2-3 days. I asked if they could at least hook up the car to a diagnostics computer to see if it could give them a prelim diagnoses...they said no, so I had to pay for 3 days of a rental car. When they finally got to the car, they immediately found it had a dead battery....which they don't stock and have to get from another city, which added another day to my rental fees, because they STILL wouldn't give me a loaner. When I asked why, they said that the diagnosis determines whether Volvo pays for the loaner or Maple Hill pays for it. So while they are battling it out to see who will have to pay for the loaner, I was stuck paying for a rental car!! Other dealerships trip over themselves to get folks in a loaner, because they know it is good service...clearly that doesn't matter to Maple Hill. In additional, none of the service check-in techs know anything about Volvos (by their own admission). A Volvo DEALERSHIP should have knowledge of their vehicles!!!! More
