Took my 11 yr old Subaru for second opinion at Maple Hill. They agreed transmission was the issue and gave detailed report. Their diagnosis matched my mechanic’s assessment. Maple Hill was able to find Hill. They agreed transmission was the issue and gave detailed report. Their diagnosis matched my mechanic’s assessment. Maple Hill was able to find a used transmission with 90,000 miles to put in my 160,000 mile car. It came with one year warranty. The price was good and worth the repair, given the current car market. They got the transmission in quickly and installed in two days. My car is running normally again. Thanks Maple Hill! More

Changes to the Service Department since the vehicle has been purchased in my opinion are worse. The wait was good one hour exact. Received information that there is a leak, but wouldn’t give a diagnosis ha been purchased in my opinion are worse. The wait was good one hour exact. Received information that there is a leak, but wouldn’t give a diagnosis had to make an additional appointment with a $140 fee to run the test. Why make a customer return for something the service department pointed out. I asked if it will be under warranty- did not receive a clear yes or no. Did not like having to make an additional appointment- run the diagnostic when the customer is there. Don’t want to hear about staffing issues- don’t care. More

Asked the person if there was a recall on the steering column because of the excessive shaking and noise when driving. She wasn’t sure. Dropped it off overnight and put on the envelope Recall Work on a Sunday. Cedric called stating he wanted to talk to me about what they found on late Monday. I called on Tuesday and he said it would be $140 diagnostic for the steering coupler and $450 to repair and I had two bulbs out. I decline the repairs and said to replace the bulbs. He stated it would be ready by 10am Wednesday. I told him no big deal as we have other vehicles. I arrived at the dealer on Thursday at 11:30am. Waited around for Cedric because the paperwork was not ready. I was told the tech was off on Wednesday so the bulbs were not replaced but it would take 5 minutes to complete. As a service advisor, Cedric committed to a time to have the car ready and I came 24 hours later. He knew this was not done and had no sense of urgency to make sure a 5 minutes job was completed. After an hour, I was finally able to check out. Cedric said my total was $186 and I was blown away…..he charged me for diagnosing my steering column. I never approved this and only wanted recall work done. After a few minutes of disagreement, Cedric said he would take the charge off. You cannot charge someone for a diagnosis they never asked for or approved of. I asked to speak to the Service Manager and he said that would be him. Really???!! Then he said she wasn’t available. Of course not. I paid $35 for 2 bulb changes and was on my way. The car sat done for 25 minutes while Cedric was nowhere to be found and took him 20 minutes to arrive after I asked for the nice lady to find him since my car was done. The service manager did reach out to me and stated she was shocked this situation happened and that Cedric had no urgency to get these 2 bulbs done that any tech could have done. I will never return to this dealership for a purchase or a repair. On a good note, I did meet a really nice man that is from the same town that I grew up in and we have a great conversation. More
