I knew what I was looking for, pretty much, but I got a competitive quote from another dealer, and then an even more competitive quote from Maplewood Toyota in response. I was satisfied, and didn't see any reason to pursue something lower. Based on what the internet search said, I'd reached a "fair" price. Maplewood Toyota is not the closest dealer for me, so I need to see value in coming back to purchase a car here. With Corolla, I think you already get a lot for your money. My experience with past purchases tells me that I should expect a quality car. I will say Honda has raised their own bar, and my own experience tells me that the Civic might be worth a try. I'd need to be prepared for pricing that is possibly not as competitive and there is less in the way of rear seat leg room. The rear seat space may not be a big deal for many, but for me transporting passengers, it is something to consider. Larry Bain is a good resource for any perspective buyer. In the past, I've also worked with Jim Miller, who has been quite good. Again, I'm satisfied, and expect another good Toyota experience. More

I suggested that we take the car for a drive first as I was pretty sure that I knew the conditions where the squeak would appear. They did take it out with me and we were able to reproduce the sounds. They ended up having to keep the car overnight, but only charged me for one day vehicle rental and the repair itself was under warrantee. I really appreciated that they listened to me and answered my questions in ways that I could understand. More
