Upon checking in, we were informed that the estimated time for the service would be a couple of hours. Fortunately, the battery test and the necessary replacement of the battery took only an hour! Great Experience with Sales - had a service related issue As a long time Toyota owner/family, I was initially happy with our recent purchase of a 2019 Highlander with all the bells and whistles. Our sales pe As a long time Toyota owner/family, I was initially happy with our recent purchase of a 2019 Highlander with all the bells and whistles. Our sales person - Ebrima - was great and super responsive/easy to work with. He also took time to personally help us with a service issue. Specifically, upon delivery of the vehicle and a detailed inspection at home, we noticed the panoramic moon roof cover was "wrinkled". We hadn't noticed previously as the cover was in the wide open position when we picked the vehicle up and we were understandably more concerned with the briefing/instructions we received about the various vehicle features. Anyway, after three trips to the dealer, our problem has been (mostly) resolved. There is still a wrinkle and some dimples in the cover, and it now makes a "crinkling" noise that it didn't prior to the service/cover replacement work being done. But it does look better than it did. My issue really stems from the treatment we received from the service department (I won't name names - I've already done that with Maplewood Toyota management). Anyway, from conflicting stories re., how moon roof covers are supposed to look in new vehicles, to being told we'd be responsible for taking the issue up with Toyota corporate if it couldn't be resolved locally, to a seeming dis-respect for the time we'd put into the multiple trips to and from our home to the dealership and the need to return the courtesy vehicle provided us asap as the dealer was "desperately short of rental cars" (which frankly was not my problem)...it just took all the joy out of a new vehicle purchase - thus the reason for my 3 star rating. As a long-time and repeat Maplewood Toyota customer I expected better. More

Not only did he get the car finished before that time, but he refused the tip I offered him for doing so. He was pleasant, helpful, & I'll continue to use Maplewood Toyota for my RAV's maintenance.
