Great service from Maplewood Toyota for my Lexus!! Visited a local Lexus dealer to ask about some routine service I knew I needed (tune-up & radiator service), they not only gave me a ridiculously long Visited a local Lexus dealer to ask about some routine service I knew I needed (tune-up & radiator service), they not only gave me a ridiculously long list of additional recommended services for my Lexus es350 that I had not asked for, but the service I knew I needed seemed priced very high - price for everything they recommended was literally in the thousands. I figured I would go to Maplewood Toyota given good experience in the past. Thank goodness I did ... Saved hundreds just on the few items I knew I needed. Confirmed other items were not actually required (e.g. changing tranny fluid since my tranny never should require this unless there is something diagnosed wrong with it - Lexus dealer tried to tell me that it is a routine service item that "should" be done). Also Lexus dealer wanted me to do my CV boots & clamp for $500 due to leaking grease from it, only to have M-Toyota tell me I just needed a new clamp - total came to $75, $425 less than if I would have went with the Lexus dealer recommended fix!!! Anyways, Maplewood Toyota provided honest service, done when promised, were very efficient, and great communication and reasonable pricing for a dealership. Moral of the story for me is unless it is a warranty/recall, to never go to Lexus dealer for my Lexus, instead go to a trusted Toyota dealership where they don't try to mark up there prices just because you are driving a premium brand and soak you for extra services that are not necessary - after all mechanically my Lexus is basically a Toyota Camry underneath.
