My only issue was that I had my vehicle in for the 45,000-mile service just a few weeks before receiving a mailer stating that I needed an immediate battery replacement based on that visit. I had a great experience at this dealership. I had just left another dealership that sold the truck I wanted before I got there and I was defensive and not in a good mood. I brought my wife and 4-month old baby girl and they were already over it. He made us popcorn, got us water and made sure we were comfortable. We negotiated a bit, but honestly, the truck I wanted was already at a pretty great price. I was able to negotiate my trade-in a little and get to a place that satisfied both of us. I came in preapproved, which I know no dealer likes to hear. Of course, they still wanted me to try their financing for a better rate, but the finance/sales manager, Darrel, was honest that he couldn’t beat my preapproved rate. They didn’t push it and didn’t back down on anything previously negotiated. Overall, we were tired, cranky, hungry, and there way too late, but the guys at Marin County Ford made us feel about as comfortable as possible in such a situation. I left with a 2024 F-150 Powerboost and am satisfied with the deal. My wife and I love the truck and we hope to have it for years to come. I got the Ford Premium Warranty, because it saved me on my last vehicles more times than I can count and has always paid itself off multiple times over. I know most people think they’re a scam, but with the tech in modern vehicles, I’m not even going to try it myself and risk breaking it further. Also, my time is worth more than the $80/month or so that it costs over the life of the loan. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend this dealership to anybody in the market. I like to think I can see through the dealership xx, but Philip and Darrell were personable, helpful, and genuinely seemed to have our best interest in mind (as long as it didn’t directly conflict with theirs). Darrell even told me not to get several options that he felt weren’t necessary. If you’re in the market, give them a try. More
