The "invoice" even has a statement indicating that the invoice is not what the dealer pays, and that the dealer makes money on a variety of other incentives from the manufacturer. I then tried to negotiate down the $850 documentation fee, to which Dan responded that they have to charge everyone the same documentation fee or they will get sued. This is clearly not true. I was reluctantly still considering the car, however when he indicated that the deposit was not refundable, and he had already lied to me at least twice, I decided to move on. My advice is to be suspicious of anything they show you or tell you, it is possibly a lie or half-truth. More
