Josue. We're sorry for your inconvenience but we have to disagree with your characterization of the issue. Once again, Marion Toyota never performed any internal engine repairs on your vehicle. We did send the vehicle to Plaza Motors in St. Louis to repair a cracked flywheel prior to you purchasing the vehicle. After several thousand dollars worth of repairs paid to Plaza Motors, and being assured by Plaza that the vehicle was in proper working order, the vehicle was offered for sale. We stood behind the vehicle with a 3 month / 3,000 mile warranty and offered you an extended warranty at the time of sale, which you declined. We're sorry that Plaza misinformed you that we had somehow worked on the engine prior to them...we did not. We also realize you filed a complaint with the BBB and are upset that they resolved the matter in our favor based on the facts. We consider this matter closed.

RESPONSE TO MARION TOYOTA'S OWNER: I didn't buy the car from Plaza - I bought the car from you, Marion Toyota. And as such, I expected your business to stand behind the product you sold me. I entrusted you with my hard-earned $23,000 for a vehicle that you had represented as immaculate and flawless both by your saleswoman and on your Web site advertisement. No consumer should expect to be replacing a $9,000 engine on a vehicle described in this condition after only 3,500 miles of use, and no consumer should be expected work out problems over a repair that he/she had absolutely no control over. Business integrity. With regards to my BBB complaint, because your business is not a member, all that was required of you was to answer the complaint. The complaint closed in their files as "answered" and in no way is there an implication that the BBB sided in your favor as you describe. I firmly believe consumers are going to make sound judgements about your business based on the facts of this issue.
