Recently my wife, son and I decided one cold rainy Wednesday her car, a 1998 Lexus, had given her long and dependable transportation and the time had Recently my wife, son and I decided one cold rainy Wednesday her car, a 1998 Lexus, had given her long and dependable transportation and the time had come to trade for another newer model car of her liking, That morning my son and I visited four auto dealerships the last of which, MARK JACOBSON PRE-OWNED DEALERSHIP, yielded a trove of late model cars, a collection of restored museum quality antique model cars, from many manufacturers in an indoor two story facility, easily accessible for demonstration, car fax, and listing the sale price of on the passenger door of every car. I had never known or been in this dealership before, and for me it offered the ultimate solution of shopping for a car with no specific model or manufacturer in mind, a perfect place to find the car for one who knew what they wanted without manufacturer’s preference. Sales Consultant Mary Garrison, worked well with us, translating my wife’s preferences into cars in their inventory, giving us the opportunity to drive any one we thought would receive her approval. It was a really fun and an educational experience to be able to examine closely the technology of so many cars all of which appeared new inspite of age of their model year. After much looking, discussion, study and Mary’s help, we found the car on the second floor. Due to the late hour armed with information and photos, we returned home with our discovery and promise to return the next day for my wife’s viewing and approval. Friday morning the three of us drove away in our 2010 like new Buick Lucerne to add some miles to the odometer that read 23,000 miles driven, smiling with much satisfaction for what we had paid and what we had received. Justin Jones at Mark Jacobson Toyota made our car buying experience very easy. I will say that we already knew we wanted a Toyota Sienna so that part of the process was no problem and negotiations about price were handled with professionalism and tact like we've not experienced at other dealerships in the past. Justin always told us exactly what he could and could not do right up front and never made empty promises about price, options or financing. One particular thing that really stood out to my wife and I is the personal attention Justin took AFTER we left the dealership during the whole process. Well into the evening, but not too late, he continued to text us about the vehicle, all of our options with financing, vehicle choices, etc., and that he was sorry he couldn't spent more time with us due to the fact that he was being pulled in many different directions that day. To be frank and honest, I wanted to use a different dealer that was further away, but after our experience with Mark Jacobson Toyota I wouldn't hesitate to send my friends and family there and I HIGHLY recommend anyone who's in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle to give them a call or to stop by their showroom, I am so glad we did!! Excellent Customer Service! While in Oregon visiting family, I found a car I was interested in purchasing. I made contact with Mary Garrison. She was more than willing to listen, intently, to the details of my story, including my long distance, my trade in, it's value, my budget, and what I was hoping to accomplish during my car purchasing experience. She was a huge help and set up an appointment with me for when I was flying back to North Carolina. I attended that appointment, she was prepared. She knew what car I was interested in, where it was in the show room, and she was willing to go above and beyond when it came to working the manager, adjusting the numbers, all the way to calling in a mechanic to get the car out of the elevator in order for me to test drive it. She stayed late, she made sure every question was answered, and she was very comforting. I am a first time buyer and she made me feel so comfortable in my experience. This treatment was bar-none to any other dealership I attempted to work with during the 6 weeks I was shopping for a car. I would highly recommend this dealership. They were forward with me, honest, they did not hide any fees or charges, and they were willing to work with me and what I was looking for on all aspect of the car buying spectrum. And... I LOVE MY CAR! So that's a plus too. Rick Butterworth was the sales manager on staff the night I flew in to make the purchase and he was willing to listen to my budget, manipulate the numbers to work with what I had told him, and presented numbers that I could work with. I appreciated his honesty. Herbie Nelson was the business manager and he patiently waited for me to ask my thousands of questions to Mary and Rick. I test drove the car, made a few phone calls, and decided I would purchase the car well after their closing hours. I apologized over and over and he, with the two others, said it was no problem at all. This made me feel so much better and more comfortable. He explained everything fully, including gap insurance, and was able to help me work that in without breaking the budget that I had originally explained. Overall, I had an incredible buying experience with Mark Jacobson. I was so well taken care of. THANK YOU!! You are a very unique dealership and it is no mystery why you're so successful with the emphasis you place on customer service. More
