David showed me that you can trust Honda salesmen to provide all the information requested, without pushing their product. We felt no pressure, and enjoyed the experience of purchasing a new Accord: the first new car purchase for us in more than 10 years. David went over all the details clearly and we bought the Accord feeling confident that it was the best car for us. Our experience at Martin started off very well when we met Shari Godwin. She really listened to us about what we were looking for with our purchase. The experience with her was great. Her vibrant personality really made this a fun experience which is not something most people associate with the purchase of a new car. Recently a college graduate from the University of Delaware, I was fortunate enough to find a good job and was ready to make a move towards a new car. My girlfriend owns a 2001 Honda Civic so naturall Delaware, I was fortunate enough to find a good job and was ready to make a move towards a new car. My girlfriend owns a 2001 Honda Civic so naturally with the great experiences from that car I moved towards a Honda. My parents had test driven Honda's with Dave a few years back and had a positive experience. Also when my girlfriend and I needed to get her car serviced the Service Center at Martin Honda was up to par price wise and not trying to nickle and dime for repairs not needed. Enough about background though. I had done my research prior to contacting Dave, knew that I wanted a new 2013 Honda Civic LX, nothing extra just the bare bones LX. I contacted Dave via email, had him give me his best price which was the best I received out of any local dealerships. I submitted credit application via the internet and was approved at the best APR financing in a day. By Saturday of that week I was into the dealership and purchased the car within a few hours as all the negotiating was done via email. Dave had the car ready, test drive was nice and smooth, did the paperwork and was out very quickly. A few notes. Dave does strongly recommend to customers that buy a car from his to visit this website and give him 5 stars across the board. With a background in sales, I know how it works, you want to get your brand (you) out in the best light possible. If you have a car in mind, or are doing your research via the internet you naturally will want to look up and see how others reviewed a salesman and their dealership. This is unbiased, at least for me as I have no problem saying I enjoyed my experience of didn't. Dave is a good guy, no b.s. pretty much a straight shooter from my experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Honda. I bought the car on June 22nd, have put 900 miles on it and no issues to mention as of yet. I am averaging about 35 mpg as well. On a side note to new car buyers. Make sure you have your insurance for the new car you want set out beforehand. If you are moving to buy contact insurance companies and negotiate your rate, to get the best deal possible, if you don't you'll spend time on the phone in the dealership with some crummy agent who will rip you off. The dealership won't let you drive off without the insurance for obvious reasons. More
