It's been a bit of a ride, and I was pretty well set on just never giving a good referral, however a repair failure at 15 months later has given me cause to provide broader warning. Matthews-Currie Ford's just never giving a good referral, however a repair failure at 15 months later has given me cause to provide broader warning. Matthews-Currie Ford's repair department is a scam. In October of 2019, I brought them my business for an air-conditioner issue in my 2008 Ford Fusion. Through what at the time seemed a reasonable mistake but now was apparently sheer ineptitude, they misdiagnosed the problem, And then only after their repair didn't work, realized their mistake. They then fixed the actual problem (and left my dashboard a haphazardly broken mess), and left the car with a new problem. Since I couldn't afford to have another shop tear apart my car to undo their damage just to hope they would be willing to pay the bill, I lived with it. Now, 15 months later, the same part they replaced has failed. (at least that is the unprompted probable diagnostic from a more competent technician.) Here is my negative review, because they somehow beyond all expectation, have managed to earn it. (Note: Service advisor was helpful, his manager upon complaint wanted to lie to me about hearing something working that neither the service advisor nor myself could hear. There is no shame in not knowing something, but he didn't need to lie about it.) More
