Matthews Hyundai of Schenectady

Our circumstances forced us to bring our car to Matthews by tow truck. On our way back home to Maryland our transmission started leaking fluid. Couldn't drive our Tuscan. Although we arrived at the dealership around 1:45 pm, Monalisa, the service coordinator, worked her magic to get us in. Stan had our car fixed in about 2 1/2 hours. Honest evaluation of the problem and NO PENCIL WHIP. Even the showroom dealer (Joshua) was kind and extremely helpful. We were treated with respect and concern for our dilemma. This dealership is the worst for service. They never return your phone calls even after returning to the dealership again . Was the first time I bought my vechicle in for service at Matthew’s. Howard greeted me as soon as I walked into the service area and he was great. I find the Service at Matthews is great. I have always been able to get an appointment when I wanted and pretty quick. The receptionist at the service desk is very lovely. Got oil change/tire rotation. That took way longer than expected. In the process of rotating tires they found 2 nails in the tires, offered to replace /fix at a rate higher than I That took way longer than expected. In the process of rotating tires they found 2 nails in the tires, offered to replace /fix at a rate higher than I could find elsewhere. I declined the service. After I declined the tire replacement stating I would get it done elsewhere they scraped my inspection sticker off the window stating 'you would fail an inspection with the nails in your tires'. I didn't ask for the inspection this time because I thought it was done when I asked in March. My inspection was overdue because they failed to do it when I DID ask. So they took it upon themselves to initiate an inspection I didn't ask for and scrape my expired sticker off w/o my permission to do so after I declined the overpriced service that likely would have taken SO much longer to complete than it took me to drive 30 minutes to 2 different shops to get the tires fixed and then the car inspection. More
